Good Rod But Broke

I got to catch around 40 fish until the rod broke. After I caught a big pickerel, I noticed that the handle and rod seat were no longer one with the rod itself. The handle came loose and now moves freely, as if there was glue or adhesive keeping them together

Buyer Beware

I bought this rod 30 days ago. Ive fished with it about 9-10 times. At first it seemed great. Then i started breaking line on every 3rd fish. $4-$8 lure after lure after lure lost. I thought it was my drag....nope. Maybe my line was too weak (i fished strictly 6-10 lb seagar flouro and p line fluoro coated line), so i upped the line to 10 lb test. And still, my line is snapping. My dad, brother, wife.....lines never breaking. Am i tying to knots wrong? Using lures that are too heavy (never casting a lure heavier than the specifications on the rod. Also keep in mind that i only pan and bass fish in clear watered Lake Geneva. I kniw there are better rods out there that are more sensitive. But i wanted a tough rod that’ll last. So after over $150 in lost lures and thrown away line (thinking just got bad batches of line), and only 30 days of ownership....this is what my “ugly tough (HA!)” tip guide looks like.... Will ugly stik pay for the frustration, time wasted, lures and line lost? No. And they’ll make me pay to ship back their crappy rods back to them and probably just send me a new rod to re-start the cycle. See for yourself. DO NOT BUY these rods.

Wicked Disappointed!!!

I bought this rod 2 weeks ago. I was fishing a jig and got hooked up on the bottom. The rod snapped about 4" from the tip. I was using 8lb line and the line never broke, I was able to get it loose and retrieve the jig but the pole is junk. This is the 1st Ugly Stik I have ever owned, I always heard good things. I don't know if I will ever buy one again!
