This is a fantastic little pack. I got this to use while my 15L Osprey was getting repaired.
Pros:
The height and width feels more ergonomic than many packs. Some packs feels like they're sitting more behind your arms/shoulders than sitting on your back, so the weight distribution of this one is very nice.
The pocket options, etc. are excellent. Stretch front/small interior pockets (with pen/stylus loops, fleece pockets, top fleece pocket, webbing loops, attachment points to hook onto another pack or add a carabiner, all feel very intentional and purposeful. The hip strap is a nice touch. The front buckle works very well for holding a jacket, sleeping pad, or other item horizontally when cinched down
Cons:
I am unsure if this pack is actually 16L... unless the stretch outside pocket is included in the size. The 15L Osprey that I also use can definitely hold more than this pack.
Along the same lines, this pack requires a lot more strategic packing. The pockets are tightly sewn enough that when you put something in one pocket it makes it significantly harder to fit items in the other pockets. The top fleece pocket is wonderful for protecting small, fragile, scratchable, or electronic items, but deep enough that when it is filled it almost blocks the opening of the main interior pocket.
What seems like the "laptop pocket" will only fit a bare 13" laptop, which isn't an issue, just something to be aware of if you really want to protect it. I kept my laptop inside its case in the main compartment.
Conclusions:
I just took this pack on a 6 week trip to Asia and loved it. I would recommend this to anyone as a day hike, lightweight travel, or city pack... just be aware of its sort-of-unique spacing limitations. This isn't a pack you can just cram a lot into from the top and go, unless you only use the main compartment.
