I use these as my main draws for sport climbing. I prefer wiregates, as I mainly climb slab or vertical. The Hotwires are light, durable, and have a confident clipping feel. The keeper has just the right amount of stiffness (if you know, you know). Gate action is still smooth and snappy, even after a season of use. As a matter of personal preference, I like the Hotwire's in-hand "grip" feel better than almost any other quickdraw I've used (incl. Djinns, Photons, etc.), save for the Petzl Spirit, which are significantly more expensive. When climbing with both, I found there were times I still preferred the Hotwire. As for durability, my set looks close to new, after over a year of climbing and traveling, and despite catching a share of lead falls. The adonization on several shows minor signs of wear where the rope runs, but that is expected. Overall, at this performance/price point, you're hard pressed to beat this draw!
