I bought this for my son so he would quit black lashing my bait casters. Now I can spend more time fishing instead of untangling reels. I’m so glad I did.

i have used this reel for a couple of yrs , it's geared low but cast great and is solid , i use the zebco bullet also but broke the handle frog fishing puts a lot of pressure on a reel and has to be fast but i purchased the omega pro 3 to use until i get my bullet fixed and i was not impressed i recommend the bullet or omega Z03

I gotta have one of these or even better one , I use the cheap 33 on a Dobyns 7' heavy fast for my for hollow body frog fishing and texas rig worms , beaver style bait , chatter bait but the handle keeps breaking off so I exchange it every time it starts to bend but I catch 2 dozen heavy angry bass a day at a private family owned small lake that no one else fish's , I don't really want a bait caster but something has to change I might check out the bullet zebco

Bought this for my 7 year old and it works flawlessly!

I have several. I grew up with closed face Zebco's and this is one of the best for bass fishing.

My grandson has used this reel 5 times this year. I take care to clean his reel and lube it for him. Today, he caught 6 bass largest 1 1/2 lbs. On the 6th bass, he said ,I can't reel the fish in the handle fell out of the reel. He hand pulled the bass to the boat. On the left side of the reel, the screws were tight, but something inside the reel broke. I tried tried fix it ,but the reel won't reel up at all. This should not have happened after only 5 times fishing.

I purchased this reel yesterday at Dick's Los Cerritos center and was so excited to try it out today. What a total letdown! The reel functions well; however, for paying $70.00 I really expected it to cast far and flawlessly. Unfortunately, such was not the case. The casting distance was far shorter than most 33's I've used (I have several, and 2 with the identical factory-spooled 10 lb test cajun line.) When I tried putting a heavier (3/4 oz) weight on for farther distance, the line dropped several inches and the casting distance was not that much farther than 1/2 oz. I was also using a cheap $13.00 Daiwa ultralight that actually cast the same distance. I opted for this reel over the Zebco Bullet because Dick's had this particular reel in stock. Now, I don't think I'll pay $100.00 for the Bullet because of the total letdown I have from this supposedly superior reel.

I've owned Daiwa Goldcast, Silvercast, Pfleugers, and this, and the Zebco Omega Pro 3, are the best. You can't use braid with them, so that's why I gave it 4 stars.

The reviews for this reel were very informative, and encouraged me to purchase the Z03. I'm so glad I did, because this is a great little reel. It casts so easily, and feels very substantial. I have casted it a few times in my pond, but can't wait to get to the lake and see how big a fish I can catch! Thanks, Zebco. And free shipping!

I've been using this model several years and the reels have held up without any trouble. Other brands have worn out the first year I used them. I fish several times a week.

It's been 50 years since I used a spincast reel. The old one I had as a kid was clunking and not very smooth on retrievals. This Zebco Omega Z03 is as smooth as butter with its 6+1 bearing design. It's great for casting light lures and bait in windy conditions. Spincasters have a reputation of being a "kid's" reel. I'm a believer in using tool that work. This reel works well... period.

I bought one of these in hopes to get the best spincast on the market because I love using them. I am very impressed! This thing is smooth as silk and can handle anything! Brought in a 17 smallie from fast current with ease! I use it on a 5'6 medium pistol grip Shakespeare escursion. Can throw a lure in your hip pocket at 30 yds with this setup! Heavier lures on short rod aren't the best but you won't need a heavier lure...this will throw a rooster tail a mile! Buddy fishing an Abu spinner next to me couldn't touch the distance I had with the omega!if you want a quality spincast buy this..getting 7bb in a baitcaster will cost triple of the omega

This reel seemed to drag. The line that came with it was sub-par. I returned it for a different reel.
