I'm a fan of Xero shoes, this is my 2nd pair of Xero sandals and I own 3 other pairs of shoes. Love the fit of these sandals. Nice and thin with that almost barefoot feet. Still adjusting to the Naboso texture on the sole, it's not bad or painful just takes a little while to adjust to the feel against your foot.
My only concern is the sole of the shoe, it seems as if part of the sole is a softer compound than the majority of the sole. It almost resembles a cross between felt and foam, not sure how long this will last or how it wears. I would prefer for the price of such minimalist sandals you would get a sole that is a rubber compound, this particular compound on the sole of the sandal and also on my other Xero shoes loses traction on damp / wet tile. So please be aware of this when wearing these sandals.
Time will tell if this was worth the investment, I'm slowly transitioning to minimalist shoes. I hope they last at least 2 years to feel as if I've gotten my money's worth. I do take care of my shoes, I have other pairs of sandals ( Keen / Teva ) that have lasted me well over 10 years and still have traction and look almost new. Hopefully these will live up to the 5000 mile claim.
