For the price, you really can’t beat this rod. Very durable but still sensitive to nibbles and bites. I’ve caught tiny fish on this rod and big 30” halibut. The GX2 can handle it all.

Great Rod

Super flexible, very reliable. If you catch something heavy just know it’s going to bend and look like it’s gonna break but pulls through feels very good with braid. Every other line pulls way to much with it.

Nice Fishing Rod

Find the rod to be exactly as described by Shakespeare. A bit heavier than other rods in my fishing equipment but I don't mind the weight. I really like the action of the fiberglass composite rod. For years I've fished the IM6 Berkley rods and would not trade them for anything but the additional whippyness of the Ugly Stik is to my liking and a lure cast used the gx2 rod really takes off. I'm very pleased with my choice in this rod.

Ugly sticks are excellent rods. I'm in the process of changing all my rods to them. They have great strength and flexibility. Your able to feel small bites from croakers and bring in bug catfish on their rods.

Great Product For The Price!

Bought this as a travel rod when I'm on my friend's boat. It has performed very well! It's short, so it travels well and has good tip action. Paired it with an inexpensive Okuma baitcast reel. Like it so far!
