Penn Rampage 5'8" Jigging Rod

I was dropping 8 and 10 ounce verticle jigs down to 150 feet and the rod performed excellently. Strong backbone, yet sensitive enough to feel the bite. No need to spend hundreds of $ for a jigging rod. I caught several large Amberjacks with this rod and it did a great job controlling the fight. I like it so much I bought the Penn SSV 6500 6'6" spinning/jigging rod and reel combo I haven't used it yet but I know it will perform as well as the more expensive jigging set up's.

Penn Jigging Casting Rod

Overall good value. Just don't set the drag on your reel to tight . Last one snapped in half with a 37 lb. tuna on the other end. Wife still landed tuna.
