I love my bike—the only problem is that when I shift into the hardest gear while going uphill or something like that, the chain skips a tooth or feels like it's about to come off, and I don't like that.

I bought these bike a month ago many problems chain is absolutely horrible it snapped off! Back tire is loose as anything and can’t tighten it at all. Do not buy this garbage

Great For My 12 Year Old Son!

My 12 year old son LOVES his new bike! He saw this bike and fell for the rugged durable looking tires. It rides smoothly and sale price made it worth buying vs the Dick's Nishiki branded bike. We're no bike experts, so I'm honestly not able to give the best review for the bike itself, but I would like to RAVE about the staff in bike section of the Sioux Falls Dick's - he was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He was extremely informative and ensured the bike was fully ready to go by putting on the kickstand (also why don't bikes come with kickstands?!) and water bottle holder we purchased for the bike. He aired up the tires and advised us on PSI suggestions for weather, and provided various other advise that I really appreciated.

Great Frame & Geometry, Ruined By Out-of-the-box Component Qc Issues

I purchased the Mongoose Switchback Expert 3 days ago as my entry into trail riding. On paper, this bike offers incredible value for the money—the frame geometry, 1x Microshift drivetrain, and tapered headtube show huge potential. Unfortunately, after just two light rides totaling 5 miles, severe manufacturing and assembly quality control defects have made the bike unrideable: * Loose Front Caliper: Right out of the box, the front brake caliper mounting hardware was loose, creating a loud clicking/binding noise on the initial test roll. * Grinding Rear Brake: During the second ride, the rear brake began making a terrible metal-on-metal grinding noise. Inspection by a local bike mechanic revealed a binding/defective caliper piston that fails to retract cleanly, unevenly dragging the pads across a warped rotor. There was obvious marring on the rotor within a few miles of riding. * Defective Rear Hub / Bearing: The rear wheel hub makes a distinct whirring/grinding noise while spinning, indicating bad bearings or assembly defects straight out of the box. I wanted to love this bike, but 5 miles in, it’s fighting me every step of the way. Unfortunately DICK’S Sports was pretty much unhelpful, we’ll see how it goes with Mongoose.

I got this for my son as an upgrade from out growing his previous bike. The store assembled the bike the day after we ordered and called us late morning to tell us when to pick it up.

Goid Bike But Came With Manufacturer Flaw

I bought this bike and it was great till the handle bars went one way other than front. Bearing broke on fork as well as thread for bolt. Was told it was a manufacturers flaw.

Beautiful Bike

After using and abusing an incredible GMC bike for a few years, I needed something that was more lightweight and wanted something will a sleeker look. Very minimalist vibe, without taking away from the quality of the bike. Rides very nicely but definitely suggest getting a seat cover for it gets pretty uncomfy quickly.

Great Bike But Didn't Get Certain Parts As Advertised.

I purchased this bike as a beginner rider. After reading reviews and watching videos about this bike i decided to make my purchase. After i got it home and riding it for a week or so i started getting familiar with all the parts of the bike. I have just noticed the derailer on the bike is not the one that was advertised. It is supposed to have the microshift acolyte derailer with a springlock clutch mechanism that uses an allen key and switch to activate the clutch. Which for a budget derailer is highly regarded. The one that i got only has a switch to engage the clutch lock which seems inferior as i have has chain derailment issues even when the clutch is locked into place. I just wish i got what was advertised and feel as though i should have gotten what was advertised.

Everything was easy to assemble except the handle bars. Maybe include stickers to follow.
