I landed a 6 1/2 lb largemouth bass with this rod and a cheap Amazon spinning reel. The fish ran several times and eventually buried itself in the hydrilla. I originally thought it was a channel cat because it was bogged down and there was no head shaking. So I steadily pulled it off the bottom while reeling down like I was pulling in a halibut. Next thing I see is a ball of weeds with a tail sticking out. That’s when I knew it was a bass, but I still didn’t know how big it was until I cleared away the weeds. This rod gets 5 stars for holding up to the runs and for horsing the 15-20 lbs of bass and hydrilla off the bottom.

The rod is great the packaging was terrible. The box was ripped in half the rod was loose in the box and could be seen from the rip in the middle. It had no padding and when I received it the box was misshapen torn and not protecting the rod at all.

The Lews carbon fire rod just feels perfect in the hand from the moment you pick it up. I put a pfluger presidential spinning reel on it and the set up is great.

Excellent rod for the price. I have owned other carbon Fire rods and they hold up well.

I was in DSG a couple of weeks ago looking around the fishing section, and seen the lews carbon fire spinning rod on the shelf. I took it down and immediately noticed how great rod felt. The price was right on time. Needless to say it was added to my collection

Seems like a great rod for the money. Always had good luck from lew's stuff.Seem like it's balanced good sensitivity seems good only used it one time but im glad I bought it.
