Design and Details

  • Outer tent fabric is Kerlon 1200 and the poles are 9mm, which make the tent very lightweight and give added stability to the tent
  • Outer tent walls can be extended to the ground and mesh areas are backed with adjustable fabric panels
  • Tunel construction provides maximum space to weight ratio which is an ideal choice for mobile journey
  • This tent can be used ideally for four people
  • Separable inner and outer tent for simultaneous pitching
  • Tent requires four pegs for pitching, providing quick and remarkably stable setup
  • Single entrance tent with single vestibule configuration allows for easy entrance and storage space
  • Rear outer wall provides better venting options
  • Add on the optional footprint that will cover the entire tent and vestibule and can be left attached to the tent even when pitching
  • Inner tent can be replaced by a mesh inner tent
  • The outer or inner tents can be used separately by moving detachable pole holder from the outer to inner tent
  • Designed for short and long trips in less harsh environments and conditions in all seasons like the forests in winter and summer
  • Great for withstanding heavy storms, but the lighter weight is not ideal on super harsh extended trips
  • Capable of withstanding heavy storm conditions, and the lighter weight is why some experienced hikers take this along instead of a more durable, heavier tent
  • Outer tent goes all the way to the ground for awesome all weather protection
  • Designed using lighter weight zippers and inner tent and floor fabrics to keep the weight at a minimum

Great For Hunting

Great purchase. Used it with all our hunting trips - spring and late fall season. Last hunting trip we had 30 to 40 mph winds with rain dumping like cats and dogs. Zippers are durable and easy to open/close. Tent can be separated into 3 components - pegs, rods (3) and tent. If not taking the Llamas, we would split it up between hunters to spread the load. Quick and easy to put up and take down - I would say around 10 minutes. Hope you enjoyed the short video

Very Trust Tent

It can easily accommodate four adults and can stand up in strong wind and rain. Hilleberg is a very trust tent for hiking. I really enjoy the happiness it brings me

Not Free-standing

We really love everything about this tent, except that it has to be staked to not collapse. We haven’t actually gotten to use it, but look forward to backpacking with our 4 and 5 year old this year in it. The extended vestibule is so large that you could probably sleep in it and use it like a 2-room tent. When our toddler is a bit older we will probably put our three kids in the tent and sleep in the vestibule.

Best Feature Is Setup With Fly Attached

It was time to get a new back country tent. As I am well over the hill I figured this was going to be my last and why not get the best, money no object. A search on the internet recommended Hilleberg. I immediately liked it because the fly was attached. I have so many times set up in rain. With a separate fly that means always getting the inner tent wet. What I liked: - no separate fly. - the huge entry cover / vestibule of the GT. Packing up in rain is now a dry event. - How light the tent is. I canoe back country camp, so weight is not a premium as hiking, but weight saving is get for any portage. - on it's maiden trip we experience an all night down pour. The tent stayed dry, even with a stream of water running under the tent floor. - Love the red color! What I do not like: - The tent is not stand alone. Camping on the rocky Canadian shield I am challenged to find deep soil for pegging - The Nallo GT 4 has a long footprint. The tent pad needs to be long. 4.5 stars rounded to 5 for the short comings listed above. My old tents were standalone and smaller footprint...then again, there that huge vestibule as a bonus!

Great Family Tent/multiple Configurations!!

When researching tents for a family of 4, my criteria was durability, staying dry/warm, ease of setup and the Nallo 4 GT surpasses all of these expectations. I have used the tent in several configurations(all 4 of us in the inner tent, 3 in inner tent and 1 in vestibule with footprint, all 4 of us on footprint with inner tent removed and my wife and I on cots with the outer tent only). Being from central Texas and primarily using it in different regions of the state I was worried about the tent getting too warm, however, this has not been an issue as long as the tent is set up and ventilated properly.
