[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven't had to use it yet, that's the reason for 4 stars. Have it setup with a Shimano Curado 201 HG nice balance can't wait to use it.

First time i bought it online i received the rod with two eyelets that were defective and cracked from the bond onto the rod. i brought it to the store in person to exchange it and with the rod i exchanged the rod tip broke on the first time i set the hook on a fish. I am extremely disapponted in the rod as i am a googan squad fan and had high hopes.

I love this rod. Paired it with a Lew baitcaster Classic Pro Speed Spool. Great combo and extremely smooth. So good, I bought another. The only thing is, watch for the sales. I paid full price for my first and paid much less for the second. Also, Karl's has great deals if you join their club (worth every penny).

Bought it for my husband and it broke on the first cast. It was also shipped without any sort of bubble rap and box was crushed on delivery.

This is a very good pole all around, it is in fact a “Go-To” rod and I use it as a “Go-To” pole

Been using for around a month now and I could not have asked for anything better! It is officially my go-to rod now for fishing!

This rod is light and strong. It has a fair amount of sensitivity for the price and the grip is perfect. This rod has a good balance and I can see it becoming part of my main setup - I currently have at least 10 casting/spinning setups. Throw anything in the suggested lure weight range and it will exceed expectations. If you're able to pick one of these up, do it. They sell out fast. Watch out for the shipping though - I have had about 4 rods sent to me with broken tips.

Just from holding the rod you can tell that something amazing is going on. I've been a tackle junkie for years now. Always trying out new products, good or bad, so that I can make the decisions for myself. I do this because Anglers tend to be a bit stuck in our ways and I've seen old men completely dismiss a bait, that is actively catching monsters in front of them, just because it's new or, maybe it's because they just don't understand it. So I've been hearing about these rods coming out and wanted to try them out. I am blown away to say the least. I currently have a variety of rods such as Dobyns, Duckett, Diawa, and a Favorite. I like each one for it's own reasons or technique and for the most part each rod serves its purpose and that's it. I've yet to own a rod I enjoy using enough that I'd want to throw it all day or even crazier than that buy a whole series of them. Well that day may be here because if the other rods in the line up feel half as good I'll have them before the spawn starts. The weight of the blank is the first thing i noticed, followed by the unbelievable balance it has. I'm stoked to see how I review it after an entire season but for now I'm nothing short of AMAZED!!! I see these rods disrupting the fishing industry standard for rods under $200 and I hope I'm right because that's where the bulk of my money is spent, in that $100-$200 range. Any more and I'd be divorced.
