Bought this to be a chatterbait/crank rod and end up using it for everything. It has a great bend that keeps them pinned with enough backbone to drive single hooks.

I waited, if you are an angler this rod is a must have. 3 in fact, the last thing you wanna do is NOT be ready during the bite.

I now own 5 of this model of Dobyns rod. It is an excellent all around rod but it is an amazing jerk bait rod. For the price you get a lot more of a rod than you would expect. Other brands would cost 3X this price for what you get in this rod.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this as a versatile rod for musky, big bass and wipers. The rod is sensitive while having tons of backbone for pulling larger lures.

Great rod made of solid materials and light weight. All around it’s my go getter for big bass, big reds, big uglies and big gar. Solid backbone for the big fish. Great for the heavy 2-3 spoons and bigger lures for the jetty’s. Big baits for the surf and covers the big baits for the bass. The price was right does the same job if not better in my opinion than the more expensive ones. 7’9” is universal. Also have the 7’ both are great rods.

I am upgrading my entire arsenal to Dobyns rods and the majority will be from the Fury series. Reason being that value for the dollar, the Fur series is a great value for light weight, solid construction, great sensitivity work-horse rods for daily angling.

This rod is an incredible value for the money. If you are trying to get high end feel, but don't have the money for pro tournament level rods. Try one of these. I have 3 and love them for everything texas rig, punching, top water, jerk baits, crankbaits etc. When looking at reviews here you will notice that the only reviews that aren't 5 stars are the ones where people are reviewing bad shipping or something that has nothing to do with the rod itself. Bottom line is if you are looking for +$200 quality for $130, buy these rods. Period.

I've used Fury rods for a while now and I've been very happy with them. They seem durable and the feedback is decent for the money.
