Got this to pair with a new reel, ambassaduer 5601C4, the rod itself is very light, which js good or bad depending on the feel you want. The rod is designed for braid, as the guides are quite small, I mostly use this for jig fishing, quite sensative

Great rod for only $54. I paired with an Abu Garcia 6,600 bait caster and use it for fluke fishing on Long Island off of my boat. Light weight, very sensitive and easily handled 2 5 plus pound fluke and an 8lb bluefish. Highly recommend this rod.

Great Med Heavy Rod With A Softer Action

Bought this rod about 2 months ago and have been pretty happy with it since then. Managed to catch quite a few fish on it including a 30" pike and some massive hybrid bass. It says it is a fast tip but it certainly isn't as fast as others I have used. Great for treble hook baits as well as texas rig stuff. The only bad part about the rod is that somehow, one of my guide inserts seems to have fallen out and I didn't keep my receipt!
