Stretchy & Cool
I really like that this material stretches over my head & hair easier than the older insect shield version I have. It’s also a lighter & cooler material. It’s actually so thin & stretchy that I was concerned it would tear easily from the rough edges. While I’m sure it could be done, it hasn’t happened in my 10+ wears. It did start pilling at the 1st wash & has moderate pilling now. Other than that, I am happy.

This is the first Buff I have purchased and I now know why it should be a staple in my hiking pack! It’s soft and so versatile! Keeps the sun off my face and neck and I can use it as a hair wrap to keep my dirty hair out of my face while sleeping. Bought to use while kayaking and trail running to protect my neck and the spots where I always miss sunscreen. Works really well; used it in lakes, reflective snowy surfaces, and in the beating sun without sunscreen in that area and haven’t gotten burned. Wore while camping in mosquito country and did notice they avoided my neck so I’d say it works. It’s long enough to cover my neck and head, and also works well as a face mask if needed.

This product is very lightweight and comfortable. Some other reviews said it was warm, but i don't find it to be any warmer than expected for something that really only blocks natural airflow from reaching the skin. I might actually buy a second one.
