Pretty Good

Pretty good, the line got tangled right away but was able to fix it.

this rod combow is a great combo to use and it comes ready to go out of the box and has a very smooth reel

Birds Nests For Days!

if you love spending your day untangling bird nests instead of fishing, then this is the real for you! otherwise, steer clear. bought this for my son for Christmas because he was asking for a baitcaster. It tangles badly every 2 or 3 casts. Spend a little extra and just get a better one.

Great Value For Youth Fisherman

Bought for my 11 year old son who loves fishing and wanted to try a different reel. Great design and look forward to using this summer

Great Starter Baitcaster!

Got 2 of these for my 11 and 10 yr old sons. One right handed, one left. Came with line and reel action is great along with 6'6" MH Rod. My kids love to use 3/8 Crankbait and 1/2oz jigs on the combo. Great price for intro baitcaster!

Too Difficult To Use

I SHOULD RETURN IT BUT MY GRANDSON IS DETERMINED TO LEARN HOW TO USE IT!!

Best Quality For Great Pricing

I bought this product one week ago I used it on the water and it very much impressed me. I'm so glad that I thought this because I did not know how to use a baitcaster but I saw that they looked so fun to use in that it's better than spinning reel at least that's what I heard online. When I actually tried it I didn't know how to use it but it was little difficult at first but I feel like this was the first beginning one to use. My best friend had one that he just bought didn't know how to use one at the time and I fully backlashed it so using this helped me to actually how to use it and it wouldn't backlash on me. After like two times at the pond I did it backlash in I be casting really far with this and I'm very glad that I bought this. This is great quality for the great price it is and is very easy to fit in cars because it's two piece which means it can snap in half. So if you want to baitcaster I recommend this one if you're a beginner.

Easy For A Kid

My son really enjoyed the new fishing rod. He told his friends.

Solid Baitcasting Combo – Great Value For The Price!

I purchased the Zebco Roam Baitcast Combo on May 31, 2025, and after several weekends on the water, I’ve been really impressed with its performance. The reel is smooth and responsive, and the braking system makes it forgiving for anglers still refining their baitcasting technique. The rod has a sturdy backbone with just the right amount of sensitivity for feeling bites, and it handles everything from soft plastics to crankbaits without any issues. Casts are consistent, and backlash is minimal once you take a little time to dial it in. This combo is a great fit for anyone who’s looking to get into baitcasting or wants a reliable backup setup that won’t break the bank. Zebco nailed the balance between affordability and function with this one. Highly recommended for weekend anglers or anyone looking to upgrade from a spinning setup!
