Great Function And Features.
Great travel bag with decent (27L) volume and well organized pockets. Zippered pouches and panels are especially useful for people on the go. Top flap includes strap for keys, etc. Elastic side pockets are great for water, umbrellas, or other easy access items. I use mine for international travel, day trips, and hiking. Great rain protection during even heavy downpours.

Decent Pack, Could Be Better
Decent edc pack, but it could be better. This pack has good organization; the pockets are useful and well placed. The top pocket just keeps taking things I put in and never seems to get full. Side pockets could be a little bigger. They will not fit a 32oz nalgene bottle. The materials are tough and the construction is excellent, not very many exposed seams. The ground control base works as intended, and it was a selling point for me. The suspension is lacking comfort. The shoulder straps are narrow and shorter than I would like. I wish they would have stayed with the Mystery Ranch futura yoke, such a comfortable harness. If you're on the smaller side it might be OK, but I'm just over 6 feet tall with an athletic build.

I bought this for a trip and wasn’t happy with the space it had. Limited for travel. Better for hiking

27l Ranchero
Great pack, very roomy. I use it as my go-to travel bag. Keep in mind it’s built to sit higher up on your back like a ruck pack, not a generic backpack. Very comfy though once you get the adjustments dialed in.

Hesitant To Try It, But Elated That I Did!
I bought this backpack to contain study materials for an exam that will take months to prepare for. After passing that exam, I will have my final exam to study for, which will also take months. I ended up loving the backpack so much but I bought the 22L. After having both sizes, I turned the 27L into my work backpack. The external laptop sleeve is better for work. The extra size means I can pack my supplies, which I top off every morning with the large YETI rambler with my ice water. I still have space at the top to put a sweatshirt at the end of my workday. The front zipper means easy access.

27l Ranchero Is A Winner!!
I’m very happy with my purchase of the 27L Ranchero. It’s sturdy with lots of room but my favorite thing is it stands on it’s own.

Well Made
Good backpack. Sturdy and well made. Love the color black and the zippers are sturdy as well. It sits up by itself when I put it down.

Built For The Wild Or Not
Bought the 27L Ranchero 2-3 months ago and I've had plenty of time to get acclimated to it before reviewing it. I love it to pieces and would've given it 5 stars but for a few reasons...My only gripe is that the TuffSkin fabric is like denim; hard to break in, but with heaps of use it's slowly starting to give. However, that's also a "gift" about it but for it's amazing quality..and with such stiffness, the bag stands sturdy by itself, but then that also makes the bag poke out a lot and feel too big as an EDC. Even still though, the whole reason i purchased this bag was for the RipZip opening that allows me to quickly access contens inside the bag and it's a serious game changer with its convenience. I bought it in two different color ways, but the Cherry Blossom is hands down my favorite as I appreciate the lighter grey finish, especially on the back padding as well as shoulder straps. If you're iso a dope bag, take a chance on it--it will seriously change the way you #backpack whether you're using it for an EDC or as travel.

Not My Favorite
Not a comfortable backpack to wear, zippers aren't very smooth. Bag size is nice, holds everything in need it to but I wouldn't purchase another one.

Great Commuter Backpack!
I really wanted to give 5 stars for this 27L backpack but my yeti 36oz doesn’t fit in the side pocket. Although I love the material of the side pocket is pretty strong and expandable. So far it hasn’t lost its elasticity. This back pack is super durable, I love the inside compartments and the Tri-zipper system. The backpack are pretty comfortable for everyday commutes. I love the separate compartment for the laptop it fits my 15” MacBook pro with ease. As a side note took it too Hawai’i and it perfectly fit under the seat of a southwest plane.

Yeti Ranchero
I have only used it a few times but I find the bag very comfortable and sits high enough on my back even when fully loaded that it does not dig into my lower bag as some have stated. I think this bag will work for some people and not others. My wife has a very small torso and the bag was not comfortable for her. I love the quality and the look of the bag. Most importantly I love the tri-zip. I am hooked. It is so easy to get what I need out of the bag and not have to dig. I have been using this with packing cubes and a small camera cube. Its been nice to open the bag like a duffel bag to pull out my camera gear or to leave the bag standing and opening the top compartment to get a jacket or small items stacked on top.

Simple And Functional
Size and simplicity are amazing! Even a simple hip strap/support would be great to at least secure the pack better. Shoulder straps are great though.
