Solid. Fits perfectly on the Yeti Gear Boxes. We had bear sightings in the area on our last trip but never ran into any trouble with our Yeti setup.

Used these for the first time on a trip to bear country. They fit perfectly and the design makes it easy to get the key in the lock from the underside every time. The locks are well made and should last a long time.
