Super easy to assemble/disassemble the lid for cleaning. Had a minor hiccup first time I used it with a leak but that was due more to user error than anything. Just make sure the gaskets are on the right way and everything is screwed in tight.

The commuter lid requires attention to turn and rotate and is leakproof only if CLOSED. Other products, from other companies have similar quality and retention but the use of a one handed trigger assure ease of operation and no need to remember to seal and close. the best in my experience is from a long standing company that ceased production due to inexplicable concerns about cleanliness.
