Replacement For New Balance Minimus
I've probably owned 8 pairs of the New Balance Minimus Trail Runners over the years. I liked the original MT10 model. Alas, it is no longer made and challenging to find used pairs in good shape. Enter this shoe. I'm a 10.5 in the New Balance, but the 10 in Xero fits well. So far so good. They look and feel lightweight and nimble. No fit issues. Comfy toe box. It's only been a few weeks, so we'll see.

Xero Mesa Trail Shoe
Overall good shoe. I had gotten a size too big so I had to return them but while I had them, they were very comfortable. Wide toe box shoe with plenty of room and stable on most surfaces. The insole does move a bit but if you’re more advance you might just take them out.

Trail It Up!!
I've been curious about barefoot/minimalist running shoes for several years and finally decided to take the plunge on the Mesa Trail II. Honestly, it's impossible for me to love these shoes more than I already do! Super light, exceptionally grippy, I've had them on trails, grass and pavement and they're fantastic. I'm especially impressed with their offroad performance. The combo of tread and compound (and your foot's natural warp-i-ness) provide plenty of grip when things get sketchy, and the toe bumpers are just enough to fend off any roots or errant placements that would jam you up. And for anyone thinking about these as all-rounders, I really don't notice the lugs on harder/smoother surfaces. If you're full time on the road, another of Xero's flat-soled offerings might be better, but these have been excellent every time I've laced them up. Definitely a Xero fan!!

So Far So Good!
I’ve had them almost 2 months, been on a few hikes and trail runs. Comfortable and well built. One thing is, I wear 9 1/2 in almost every other brand, and these are a half size too big. It’s probably because there’s a lot less heel and layers of foam (zero drop). So I would advise to order a half size smaller than your regular size

Best Minimalist Shoe
I love this brand and the options they have available. I have bought two pairs and two pairs of another style in case they make changes. Your feet are going to feel the change so make sure to give them rest
