This was my first pair of Five Fingers and they are very comfortable. The fit is pretty good. Originally i bought them to walk to the beach and swim with them on. I can train in them also. I wear them snug with no socks.

I've worn many five finger shoes over the years, and these definitely make for a solid pair of shoes. I'd say they have great traction, which I can't quite say for all of my other pairs. I got size 42, and they fit quite nice and snug. I always recommend measuring your foot and going by european sizes. The shoes go well by that metric. I will say that if you're looking for a super minimalist shoe where you can feel the grass you're walking on, these aren't quite good for that. They're definitely minimalist, but not super thin and bendy like some of the other five fingers shoes. They're great for breaking into minimalist shoes though, and they seem great for running or hiking in general. I've noticed also that these shoes seem to dry a bit easier than some of the other five finger shoes, and the soles being a bit thicker makes it so that stepping into a small puddle doesn't ruin the rest of my day, which is quite nice. My only real problem with the shoe is that the strap system they have for tightening them down sticks up when strapped down, which can snag on sticks or other odd things, which I don't particularly like. I kind of just stuffed the strap under the laces, which works well to hiding it, but it's a bit more of a pain to tighten the shoes down. I imagine it'd be easy to make a better strapping system that doesn't stick up so much like this, but I don't design shoes, I just wear them sometimes. Overall, definitely a solid shoe that I can recommend. My only problem with it is a small one, and it definitely has a lot of good stuff going for it.

Usually run with Vibram V-Run but I have a weird strike with my left foot. Wore out the left outer sole of all my V-Runs. Trying out the Alphas and they are holding up pretty well after a full month of running

Initially these shoes squeezed my big toes and I thought I may return them; wore them for one jog and now I'm hooked! They stretched just right, I wear them every day!
