I have had my 780 for probably 5 years or more now. I use it multiple times per week. I have 100’s or cooks on it and 1000’s of hours cook time. Everything from briskets, ribs, pork butts on low and slow cooks to steaks, burgers, chicken on fast and hot cooks. I have been noting but pleased with this product. Does it produce the same results as a traditional stick smoker No, but name one brand of pellet grill that does, you can’t they are two different smoking methods. After 5+ years the only problem I have is the temperature set knob is a little jumpy now will jump from 200 to 250 in one or two clicks instead of the 5 degree increments it should. Until I order a new controller I’ll just set the temp to get it started then use my app. to set my desired temp for the cook. From my experience and the number of cooks I have I could not be more pleased. I have considered an upgrade to a newer and better Traeger but ole Big T is still churning out great food every week so I’ll keep her going till she can’t go any longer.

After buying a cheaper pellet stove and having to return it because the controls kept going bad i bought a 780.. the best decision I’ve made. It has been rock solid since day one. About three years now. I started smoking on a ceramic round smoker had it for ten years was gr8 but you had to babysit it. This 780 set it and forget it no getting up every couple hours to check the temp. The 780 can make anyone a grill master.

Excellent smoker, have had many different types, but first pellet smoker. Easy to use, I load it up everytime I smoke. Plenty of food for a couple of weeks.
Traeger markets this Pro 780 having This grill is equipped with WiFIRE® connectivity to keep track of your cooks from anywhere with the Traeger App. This app and WiFIRE connectivity never have worked. Replaced Controller, still not working, app updates and firmware all updated. Still doesn’t work. Grilling manually works fine. Don’t get suckered in by the app and WiFIRE CONNECTIVITY IT NEVER WORKS AND NEVER WILL. I have been told by a local dealer to just use it manually.

My husband bought this beauty for me recently. We made some killer food on it. Very easy to use. I Love the app.

I am extremely disappointed with the quality of my Traeger grill. I purchased it only a year ago and despite regular use and proper care the body of the grill is already beginning to rust. For a premium-priced product that's marketed as durable and built to last this is unacceptable. I expect much better craftsmanship and weather resistance. I've kept the grill under a cover and attempting to keep it out of the elements as much as possible, so it really shouldn't be deteriorating this quickly. Even, my 10 year old charcoal grill that was 1/3 of the price, has not shown any signs of the paint or powder coat failing. It feels like I paid for a name and not qualitly.
I bought my 780 Pro pellet grill almost a year ago, I love the set it and forget it by temperature and time. I've yet to use the temperature probe feature but the simplicity of using a pellet grill well you have to try it to find out. I've cooked on it about 8 times, I'm still learning the nuances of BBQ.

Bought this a couple of days before Thanksgiving with the goal of trying to cook my first turkey for my family. I owned a Pit Boss before I purchased for a couple of years amd it was an absolute headache every time I used it. The Trager on the other hand has been a dream. I used Meat Church YouTube video for spatchcock turkey with their Hickory rub and I will never let anyone ever cook a turkey for me again. I used to hate turkey to be honest, and now I love it if I'm the one cooking. I have done multiple sets of ribs which are always successful, and recently I did my first brisket and pork butt which were overnight cooks. Traeger hasn't disconnected or stopped cooking yet. Everything I've tried on it is successful. Can't say that for their competitors. Think my wife is going to get me the Pimpmygrill rack system for father's day and I'll officially be unstoppable. Tip for new users, use Knottywood or Lumberjack pellets if you really want to lay the smoke on good. Thanks for providing such a consistent and awesome product Traeger.

I bought one around 8years ago and loved it, but as all things go it wore out. So what did I do I bought another one 780 pro. Love Traeger grills.

The dial on the controller if so flaky. Whenever I turn it up, it goes up and then down with each click. It's very difficult to actually set the temp. Second, the probe is wildly inaccurate. It measures 120 degree water at 150, and measures ice water at 50. It's absolutely useless.

I have had the pro 780 for 8 month and it has worked great. I have done burgers, smoked salmon, lots of ribs and pork butts. I have used a big green egg for years and I am finding the quality of the end product is equal but the amount of work and time it takes with the pro 780 is reduced. I find I use this much more and love it.

I bought this a year and a half ago. Best grill I've ever owned. It does require a little more maintenance to keep it in top shape, but at that price point, why wouldn't you? The outside weather does impact the time it takes to complete your meat to the ideal temperature, but soon you'll learn to adjust your meal planning so that everything comes together at the same time. Connecting to WiFi has been an ongoing issue.

This is my husband’s 2nd Traeger and we couldn’t be happier with the purchase. He has had several other smoking grills, but this brand is by far his favorite. We would love a follow on our Instagram Food page. @scrumptioussustenance
