Evo Wing Bars With Hullaport-a-port Xtr.

Installation is unnecessarily challenging due to the exclusive use of pictures for directions. Definitely check out a video prior to installation. Overall the rack is sturdy but not at all as quiet as I had hoped for. I definitely won’t be using the sun roof while it’s installed. I would compare the sound to flying in an airplane if I fully open the sun roof while traveling over 45 mph. My biggest disappointment though is the bars do not sit level with each other (relative to each other, each bar sits at a slightly different angle). This presents a problem when using the hullaport xtr since the carriers will be at approximately 15 degrees difference thereby only having contact with the kayak on the edge of the hullaport xtr. The hullaport itself does not have adequate padding for a kevlar or fiberglass kayak. I will still use cheap foam pads that fit over the bars for my Kevlar boat and the hullaport for a 2nd plastic boat when I need to hull both. I would expect the fit kit to account for the sloping roof lines (front to back) but they do not, at least for a Toyota Camry. The old fashioned round bars probably would work better as it would eliminate any angle issues. Another problem with the evo wing bars is the rubber stripping that the consumer needs to install. You will only get one chance to push it in place. Otherwise it gets deformed and will not go in a 2nd time. Thule did send me a replacement. I can’t say for certain but I doubt the flimsy rubber strips will hold up over time. I would be very gentle if you’re loading anything directly on the bars as those rubber strips aren’t held in place by much and may be torn or displaced (and they will not go back in). And please tighten up the roof rack after a week or so as things will loosen up. I don’t think Thule explains that in the hieroglyphics that they substitute for directions.

Crossbars For 2026 Outback

The fit is fine and the grasping fittings in the rooftop carrier works fine with the crossbars. A bit pricey but results do matter.

Excellent Fit

Excellent fit on my factory installed rails. System tightens down very securely and easy to do.

Unjustifiably Expensive

Unjustifiably expensive! Installation instructions very poor. Horizontal rubber strips on the bars do not stay put. Not as much wind noise as other shapes, but not exactly quiet. Not particularly happy, but did not have much choice of products to fit 2026 Prius.

Next Level Cross Bars

Fantastic cross bars, very quite and sturdy. Also quite versatile with all the various Thule attachments.

Product Is Terrible

Worst product ever, having a very hard time returning it; still in the process of doing so. Called many times and no one helped me.

Annoying Whistling Noise Above 30mph

Bought this roof rails for a 2026 BMW X5 and there has been an consistent whistling noise at speeds above 30mph. I have double checked and there are no gaps present or any missing seals. I've also used duct tape to try and cover any areas that could be causing the noise with no success. frustrating...

My only call out is not the product which is excellent, but the website. A little confusing and somewhat ambiguous to whet I was actually getting. Would I still recommend, in a heartbeat.
