ITS A GOOD PRODUCT, BUT THE STRAPS ARE SHORT IF YOU OWN A HONDA ELEMENT. I HAD TO USE AN EXTRA WEB BELT SO THE MAT WOULD EXTEND OVER THE BACK OF THE VEHICLE.

Simple, Clever Little Accessory

I find all these ridiculous gadgets people try to make to protect their car and get their boat on the roof with minimal scratching and lifting. this pad does the trick! I liken it to a giant mousepad. I do wish the underside was a bit more “grabby”. I previously had an unknown brand version of this years ago that totally rocked, but unfortunately lost along the way. I saw another review stating this was to small. I also have an Outback, like the other reviewer, and I find the size is plentiful! It’s not really meant to cover your entire back of your car all the way down the window to the wipers. It is meant to protect your paint. If you can’t lean one end of your boat that high, then you need another method or a buddy. I’m a 48 year old female, and this fits the bill when i want an easy way to load by myself.

Great Way To Keep My Suv From Getting Scratched

I have a two person kayak that is too heavy for me to put on myself without badly scratching my SUV until I bought the Waterslide Mat. My Toyota Highlander is way too long to place the mat on the back. Due to the no slide grip of the mat, I place it on the side and slide my kayak on top from that angle. I can easily place my kayak on the roof rack without any damage to my Highlander.

Mat Is Too Short!

I bought this mat for use with my Outback. The mat is too short to fasten to the car's installed roof rack, and I had to slip the straps into the upper opening of the trunk lid and then close the lid in order to secure the mat and protect the top of the car, rear window and wiper. Worked fine with this method but by no means optimal or as marketed. I own a Thule luggage rack and am very pleased with the quality and reliability of this product. Unfortunately, this mat was not designed for an Outback or other larger wagon/suv!

I would definitely recommend this product so simple to install and remove and store away
