Great Bike Rack💪🏻

I bought this last year because my new mountain bike wouldn’t fit the older model rack. Love this bike rack! Very easy to use, made well!

Good Rack, Poorly Designed Hitch Lock

It’s a solid rack that secures the bikes well, as expected. The front wheel support is easy to use and holds the bikes tight to the rack. The rear wheel plastic holders can be a bit annoying if they slide too far away, and the straps are not the easiest to align and secure, but they do the job. I gotta say, there is a whole lot of plastic on this rack for this price. My biggest complaint is the hitch locking mechanism. Who decided to do away with the knob and replace it with a PLASTIC handle that is near impossible to tighten without busting your knuckles? The way it locks into the base looks like it could very easily be kicked loose.

Great Bike Rack!

I was in the market for a new bike rack. One feature I was looking for, specifically, was rear tail lights. Thule was already on my short list, and when I saw the tail light kit, it seemed like the obvious choice. The rack is solid, stable, high quality and the tail light (and license plate) kit work perfectly! A couple of design comments/feedback are: a) I would have expected the cable lock to be in the rack itself as opposed to an external item. I would think this par for the course for a product of this price and quality. And b) the location of the cable lock/unlock is a just below the front chain ring of a bike when it's on the rack. So... when you're unlocking/removing the cable (upward) it's easy to jam your hand into the chain ring of your bike. (note to self - don't do that... again!) Overall I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this product. PS. I also purchased the wheels (add on) to help move it around in the garage, etc.

Great Rack, Issue With A Screw

Rack seems sturdy and easy to use. The only issue was one of the screws had threading that was off and we had to buy a new one. A bit shocking to have that issue given the price of the rack.

Okay product, but not excellent, or even great. Seems like a very low-effort design. Some things that stand out to me: 1. Why so much creaky, cheap plastic cladding everywhere? 2. Why not have a cotter-pin type safety mechanism on the lock pin? The safety pin can easily come dislodged, and it does not inspire confidence. 3. Why are the plastic end caps so flimsy and easy to dislodge? 4. Why are we sliding pastic tire holders on aluminum rails? The acceleration while moving them is unpredictable and they are just plain annoying to use. On the positive side, it is quite rigid. At the high end of the market, his product is not recommended.

Great Features ~ Quality Rack!

This rack is perfect for my 2 e-bikes. I also have fenders on one of them so I needed this style.

I’ve been through several bike racks over the years for my E bikes. Nothing has fit so perfectly on my 2021 Jeep Rubicon, 31 inch spare tire on the back. No need for extensions modifications. It was plug-in play.

Not A Good Bike Rack

I do not typically write reviews however for this product and from my experience I wanted to ensure someone has the right knowledge regarding this product and maybe thinks twice before purchasing it. I bought the Thule Vers 2” last year in May. It was great to assemble and the build quality is pretty good. However, I have had some issues with this product. I’ve taken this bike rack on the road for over 10 000 km and It cannot keep bikes secure. There has been many times I have had to pull over on the side of the highway and had to prop the bike up again. My bike as well as my girlfriend’s bike has leaned over and almost fallen off the bike rack. Our bikes are your typical mountain bikes nothing heavy or special. There was one time my girlfriend’s bike was completely horizontal and the only thing keeping it in was the strap. When I looked through my rear view mirror I thought the bike was gone. I read the manual and watched videos on how to load bikes properly and I have done everything correct however the bike rack has failed me multiple times. I don’t have confidence in it and I am constantly having to check my rear view mirror to see if my bike is still attached. I believe the main issue is the arms that lock the front tire in place as well as the pieces that the wheels sit on. I think at higher speeds, over time the air pushes on the front tire and wiggles the tire loose on an angle and then it slips out of the arm. I also believe the piece that hold your bikes wheels at the bottom are too wide for typical mountain bikes. The large width of where the tires sit allow for the wheels to move side to side and therefore moving the top of the wheel to slip out of the arm. I am very disappointed as I thought this bike rack was going to be great. I did buy it when it came out and there was no reviews on it yet. Next time Thule releases something just wait until others have tried it. I definitely learned my lesson. I unfortunately have not taken a photo of every instance of the bikes leaning over horizontal however in the photo I have provided this is what is has looked like in every circumstance. In the photo this is my girlfriend’s bike. It has also occurred with mine as well as both of them on the rack as well. I hope this review helps.

Thule Verse

The Thule Verse is a nice rack. I think that it is lacking the quality of the Thule T2 Pro XTR.

Best Bike Rack

I bought this a month ago when I got a new car which had a hitch. Shipped right to my house. Assembly was pretty easy. There is a good YouTube video by a 3rd party which shows you how to do it. Everything about the rack is really well thought out. Fits really securely with no rattles and is locked in place. Really love how easy it is to put bikes on and off in seconds. Also love that there is no contact with my carbon frames. Highly recommend this product.
