We bought this for an upcoming road trip and could not be happier. Installation was easy and using it has been exactly what we hoped for. Especially driving over rougher terrain.

Very Smart Bike Carrier

I am currently on the road with this rack and 2 mountain bikes and 2 gravel bikes. So far, it has performed real well with many smart features and ease of use. The best is probably the gas shock which allow for easy loading, and raising / lowering to access our SUV hatchback. It rides solid and the receiver tightening feature really helps with this. Access to the straps for hooking and unhooking to secure the bikes is surprisingly good. We also have the integrated bike lock which is a nice feature, but the rack is missing a welded metal loop to initially attach the cable to. The instructions are to loop it around the frame of the first bike but I do not like the idea of that with carbon frames. This is about the only negative comment i have with the rack. I especially like that all contact points are on the tires, with only the rubber straps contacting the rims. Our carbon frame bikes thank you! Four mountain bikes fit beautifully with lots of space between handlebars and frames. However, with our current configuration of mountain and gravel frames, we do have to loosen one gravel bike handlebar and rotate it out of the way. Overall, this is an amazing product.

Excellent Rack!

Bought the rack about a month ago but hadn’t used it until a big family road trip. Love it! Access to the trunk is easy with all 4 bikes on. Loading and unloading is simple. We even fit our son’s 16 inch on with an additional strap and the 24” adaptor. We have only used it for our mountain bikes so far. Curious how it will be for road bikes. Overall, excellent rack! Would highly recommend for families transporting multiple bikes.

Best bike rack we have owned! Our bikes have found their happy place. Construction is heavy duty and secure, so the only challenge is when it is time to remove or reinstall on your vehicle.

Great Rack. Not A Daily Driver

This rack is really well built. I am happy with it. But I miss my two bike stand up rack. It is what it is when you have to carry four bikes. But, I feel it could also be designed a little better. The lever to lower the bikes is awkward to grab when there are bike on either side of it. I have also seen racks with hydraulics to lower the rack, which would be great because it is solid full body pull to pull it all the way down when it is not loaded with bikes. Also the cross bar is right in the middle of the line of sight in the rearview mirror, with the support Y exacerbating the problem. I also leave the rack on my car as I transport bikes daily. It is not a daily driver. If you can take it off when you don't need it go for it. Good rack. Don't buy it unless you need it.

Great Bike Rack

This is a super easy bike rack. There are only a couple reasons that I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. I have 3 tall kids and a tall husband so I can't lift the bikes by myself (too short) on to the rack, even when it is pulled down. I also think for the price it should have come with a lock strap. It is pretty hard to pull down but that is only because it is brand new and pretty tight but once that loosens up the ease is great! I also like how it is two straps and done! I don't feel like I also need to bungie as well.

Well Built Rack With Excellent Features.

I bought this rack on after having used one several times over the past year. It is an excellent product and is full value for the purpose. The bikes load simply once you master the lowering of the basket - the shock is tight and if you are not strong this rack may be frustrating as you fight the shock to lock it into load mode! Technique is the trick and I suggest trying it a few times before you purchase. Once loaded that shock allows for controlled lowering and again is such a great feature. This is my second Thule rack with the adjustable cam in the hitch - this mechanism has a retractable one handle that tightens the cam lock and that is an upgrade from the knob mechanism. All said for carrying mountain bikes to road bikes it is easy to use.

Sturdy And Easy To Use Rack

This ReVert 4 bike rack replaced a 4 bike horizontal rack. Getting the horizontal rack up and down was a two person job and a real pain. This new ReVert rack is BRILLIANT! I can get it from loading mode to driving mode easily. I wish I had bought this rack sooner. This is a sturdy and easy to use rack!! (There is a LOT of play in the hitch area and we had to buy a 2" U-bolt system to stop the dramatic swaying. Wish the ReVert rack came with it's own solution/system to address this.)

Great Rack!

This is a great rack! Easy to put together, bikes fit well etc. The only reason I gave it a 4 is that it’s quite heavy, so not super easy to take on and off and store away.

Secure Rack, Difficult To Maneuver

Great secure rack I have no concern that bikes will move around or fall off. The other reviews saying it's very stiff to lower are well warranted. I am 5'10 165lbs active women and feel like I have to put all my weight and effort into lowering it. Also the leaver to lower and raise it is quite stiff I have to often use both hands and then awkwardly shift one hand up to the wheel carrier start pulling and then shift my second hand. It can also be quite tall depending on where your hitch is located ground clearance of your vehicle
