I am very happy with my Thule Outpace other than one feature is not working, the lock and key. Not able to stop anywhere when I have bike on back.

It Has All The Features I Need!

I bought the Thule Outpace after upgrading my sedan with a hitch and I'm very happy with this rack! It's easy to install/remove, fits nicely in the trunk, and securely holds my bike. I was a bit worried at first because I have a carbon bike but the fine adjustability lets me tighten the frame grip just enough so it's not loose and that's working fine so far. I also used the Thule Carbon Frame Protector to be safe. The frame lock is a nice feature, I wouldn't leave it for a long time but it gives me some peace of mind for quick runs into gas stations or travel plazas. Living in an apartment in a city, I don't have room to store a larger bike rack but I still need to get to races and the Thule Outpace fits the bill!

Perfect Rack!

I have not used the bike rack for a trip as yet. Setup and placed both my bikes on rack with no issues. Drove for several blocks no problems. Deinstalled and folded unit for easy storage. Happy with the product.

Very light and sturdy. Holds bike steady and is easy to remove and install.

Plastic Locks And Tire Plate Cracked After One Use

I bought this expecting it to be awesome for the city because it was lightweight and easy to transport, but after using it, the locks that hold the bike cracked, and the plastic on one of the plates that holds up the front wheel on the back of the bike rack cracked as well. So I’m pretty bummed that the quality wasn’t what I was expecting, especially for the price point.

Really Bad Experience

Key broke in half inside the lock and one of the locking clips was stuck in the closed position, like the other reviews mentioned. Returned.

Better Than I Could Imagine

I've had this rack a little over a month now. I bought it after my old rack let my bike fall off and be dragged a short distance by the wheels causing some major problems. My big reason for buying this rack was that it has straps that completely encircle the bike in three places. No U-shaped hooks for the bike to bounce out from under. So far it has worked flawlessly. It seems to hold bikes very securely and is attached to my car with very little movement as I hit bumps. The thing I didn't consider was the ease of attaching it to the car. My old rack stayed attached all summer and got very dirty by the end of cycling season. Plus it was a pain to tilt it so I could use the hatch. At first, I noticed how easy it is to tilt, mere seconds to do. But then, I realized how easy it is to remove, store in the vehicle, and install when needed. I keep it in the car most of the time, just in case I spot a bike or two for sale (see pic).

Easy Set Up

this is the first bike rack we have had and it works very well . no complaints thus far . easy to set up and secure the bikes .

Recently bought the thule outpace bike rack love it light weight easy to install aready put together in the box. I have used a few times and its easy on and easy off vehicle would recommend this rack.

Far From A Precision Made Device

For the cost, I am disappointed that I had to file down the tab on the bottom lock which secures the rack to the hitch receiver. The keyed lock does not turn after the vitically aligned tab inserts into the body of the rack. I chose this because of the compact size and light weight.

Light, easy to transport, I use it in a model 3 and it goes great and you can grab the bike even from the tire and it is super well held

Should have purchased years ago! Used for the first time today and could not. be more impressed. Love the fact that it folds up for storage or to put in the car. Hoping to have this for a long time!

My New Best Bike Rack Ever

I love that I can just set my bike on the tray instead of hanging it by one bar and having the bike be lopsided. I also like the way it folds up for stowing it aaway
