With the warmer winter we've resulted in a few raining ski days. 3/4 through the day my jacket was soaked through the arms and shoulders. This happened 2 twice. My gloves, pants were dry!

Traded in a goretex summit series for future light. Initial feelings are less pliable than goretex but feels like it could take more punishment. Snowboarded in it though cut like an alpining shell. Need to layer beneath it

I think this is a great hardshell jacket for extreme conditions. I am 5.8 and I bought small. but sleeves are still too long. And it's hard to use hoody without wearing helmet. so overall it is great but not for daily using.

Great movement for a mountaineering jacket. The heat zips work well and are easy to use while wearing gloves.

Love this jacket, cant wait to try it out in real life this winter. I am not sure what insulating layer to pair it with, I have a Nuptse and it seems to fit under this for very cold weather, not sure tho.

After 40 minutes of wearing it in the rain, the jacket leaks! The shoulders are wet!

I loved the face that this was fully waterproof and lightweight, but that only lasted for a couple of uses. Had to switch back to my old jacket because this one lets so much water through even just from light rain. Just came back from a 15min walk in the rain and my shoulders are drenched. The jacket remains damp long after it gets wet and constantly lets water through despite the "waterproof" claims. My $50 jacket does such a better job than this one that is 9 times the price...

My Favorite Go-To Alpine Jacket! Typically, I wear the Arcteryx purpose built brand for much of my outdoor gear. However, I love TNF Summit Series Chamlang jacket. It's one of my favorite jackets. It's lightweight technical, durable, breathable and totally waterproof. It's my go-to minimalist hard shell I love wearing in the Olympic and Cascade Mountain ranges, with everything you need, and nothing you don't. I love this jacket so much that not only did I purchase the blue jacket, I also purchased another same jacket in military olive color. Normally, I shy away from many of the more metro/urban styled products, but TNF Summit Series product line is alpha pinnacle of alpine products. I recommend TNF bring out more technical summit series apparel/gear and avoid falling into a pitfall as other outdoor companies (such as Patagonia) have recently, where they more than ever now produce simply metro or soccer mom activist brand wear.

Can't wear the darn hood unless you are wearing a helmet. Otherwise it flops down in your face. What a monumental disaster of engineering. And HUGE waste of money.

The Chamlang FutureLight jacket has been a great addition to my outerwear system. I use the Verbier for dedicated resort and side country ski days, but I'm a race coach and value having a good shell in my pack when the precipitation starts and the cheap team jackets don't cut it. The Chamalang is a great balance of durability and weight. It's almost minimalist in that it is not the lightest jacket, though it certainly is not not heavy. I don't mind the weight and size in my pack, and I trust that it will hold up to whatever use I have for it. The length is great and the hood is excellent over a helmet. I think it is true to size, but I sized up to accommodate thicker layers and it works well this way for me. My one single quibble is that I wish there was at least one, but ideally two, Napoleon pockets on the chest to stash a radio, bars, etc. I would use these in myriad ways and chest pockets are highly useful whether wearing a harness or a pack.

Amazing! I've been using this jacket in the storm that has been hitting California and I've been staying completely dry! However, that is not the best part. I am Mind boggled by the breathability. I have not ever felt the need to take it off, not once. And I can tell the difference because I have been using the Eco-Snow Triclimate Jacket and many others and I regularly have to take them off. Especially when my girlfriend turns on the heater in the car -_- but even with the heat in blast the Chamlang jacket stays cool. I read the complain about the zipper and yeah it's a little more time Consuming to zip up and down, but to me that translates to quality and better water resistance. My favorite jacket hands down, had to go back and buy the Chamlang pants and Futurelight!
