[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off the other reviews are baseless and speak for people that can't infer what's being implied and would rag an optimal hiking/everyday pant. While some people prefer their nether area compressed and chafed thoroughly after minimal movement, I prefer a slightly baggy fit to allow for extended periods of comfort when performing basic sitting and standing or extended hikes.
The pockets may not fit a phone but I hate a phone in my pocket when I’m walking let alone a 6 hour hike, I'd rather the pockets be small enough to hold a tissue at the most. Other than that everything else stays in my pack. Also the taper to the calf and the elastic band around the ankle is perfect. And the pant barely hovers over the thighs, not like parachute pants, but defiantly not like those skin-tight hiking pants that consume the market. Is this a biased/emotional review – yes, just cause I would like to see more hiking pants of this style.
Material wise they are going to last and seem like they can take more rock rub than average. These will be my go to hiking, trailwork, casual pants

No Zipper!
