Light weight and warm. Great for winter. Size M fits just a tad on the smaller end. Only change I'd suggest is to add a bottom zipper to create some room at the waist as it's somewhat snug there.

I love this jacket! Excellent details and construction. Unfortunately I am caught between sizes. I am 5'9" and have a muscular build with big shoulders and back. The Large is too small in the chest and shoulders but is the correct length. I ordered the XL and it fits GREAT in the shoulders and chest, but is way too long and billowy around the waist. I'm bummed out. I will be returning the jacket and wish that I didn't have to.

Wow. Stio nailed it with this one. Great fit and so warm. Just got back from ski trip in Hokkaido. The Hometown kept me warm when temps were single digits. Highly recommend! Fit is true to size. I’m 5’10”, 175lbs. Large fits perfect.

I just bought this to replace a respectable but aging Patagonia down jacket. I was looking for a higher neck to eliminate Drafts and the hood really came in useful immediately. This is superior on many levels: better down filling, better zips and (many) more useful pockets. I was also influenced by the colors available. The fit is great and slightly longer in the body I now feel shielded from the elements. Wore it this week to the Grand Canyon and bad weather rolled in quickly - I was perfectly well prepared.

Love everything about this jacket except the fit. Im a large in most other premium brands but a large Hometown hoody is just way too short in the sleeves, yet the Shot 7 and Environ jackets fit me perfectly in sleeve length. Sizing seems to be inconsistent with the Hometown.

Loved this jacket and wanted to make it work. Warm with all the right pockets and features. But the sleeves on the XL are just too short for me. Add an inch and the jacket would be my go-to winter jacket.

Company is linked to ID me - military discount. Doesn't honor it for this jacket - totally misleading. 15% off when signing up for the newsletter doesn't apply either. Do better stio!!

This is my favorite jacket - when the temperature drops into the 20s, I only need a long sleeve thermal shirt with this and it keeps me warm for hours. Really takes away the huge need to later so much. Fits well and looks awesome. . . 10/10.
I got my boyfriend this jacket for his birthday and he absolutely loves it and says it’s so warm!
My Hometown Down is my go to for on piste skiing in Upstate NY . I also wear it around town going out most of the time . The hood fits nicely over my helmet and the inside pocket will fit my small lunch .
Since I purchased the winter coat at the end of the season, i have not yet had an opportunity to test it in winter conditiions.

Really well constructed and looks great. I usually wear a Men’s small but the XS fits well in this style…

Very light goose down, soft, warm and comfortable. Sheds rain well. Good sleeve length (I often find Chinese made clothing has sleeves that are too short).

I’ll start with the love. It’s warm, very cozy, great features, great fit. I also have a Patagonia down puffy and I think this one is warmer and way cozier, it just has a soft supple feel. It’s got everything you’d want in a puffy. However…after wearing it some I would notice a funky smell from it. Like wet dog or dead fish, I had to leave it outside after wearing it (unfortunately I took the tags off already due to the great first impression). I’m guessing it’s from my body heat warming it up. Fortunately, the smell has worn out some, or I’m just used to it and I actually smell gross lol. After wearing it a bit more now and wearing it in light snowy and drizzling rain, I’ve noticed discoloration on the outside. It resembles sweat stains on each baffle. I assume both of these issues are from whatever water repellent treatment is used on the down. I’m hoping that giving it a wash at the end of the season will help with these issues some. Time will tell. Maybe this isn’t a common issue, but it is something to note. Makes me think I should have just went with the tried and true Patagonia again. This was my first product from Stio and definitely makes me hesitant to purchase anything else.
