This is a great shoe and fits nicely. I was afraid that the straps would rub but they don't.

Loved the design of these sandals and when I tried them on at home they seemed comfortable, but I wore them to a walking tour on my recent trip and my feet were swollen when I finished the walking tour! The straps at the ankle are too tight and the blood didn't flow to my feet. Never experienced this with any other brand. unfortunately I had to return these, have not received the refund so far!

I bought the Ella sandal for my holiday to Italy. Whilst I love the style and it is ideal for walking on cobbled streets, the sole is compfy BUT watch out for the sizing, this comes up narrow and the elastics are so tight I could only wear them for a couple of hours at a time. I would go half a size up if you dont have a narrow /shallow foot. I will buy again but in another size.

I really want to like these. They are beautiful shoes and I think they would be quite comfortable except for a small but significant issue with the fit. The back heel strap rubs against the inner arch of my left foot in a way that I don't think will improve with breaking in. Just walking around my apartment, it is clear that the shoes would cause significant blisters. That being said, if Sorel came out with a slightly different version of the shoe, I like them enough that I would be willing to retry them to see if this issue is fixed.

Not enough support.., can’t wear them for long periods of time. Purchased them for an upcoming international trip and will not be able to take them with. My legs and back hurt which usually does not happen. Great fit but disappointed!

I bought these shoes a year ago because of the great reviews and versatile, inoffensive style. I am a pretty fashion-conscious person and wanted shoes that were comfortable yet stylish as I went on my first trip to Italy. I took the next year breaking them in and found them to be comfortable but noticed some rubbing on the back of the heel. Purchased a roll of moleskin just in case. Well, the moleskin wasn’t enough. I’m not sure what happened but I was wearing these around the streets of Venice and Rome with the back tucked under my foot because I was in constant pain. I drink a gallon of water a day and am a very active person who eats a varied diet with lots of protein and veggies and whole grains so this wasn’t due to dehydration or being unhealthy - but my feet swelled up and the shoes cut into them. Blisters on my heels, sides of my feet, even with moleskin AND band-aids. I ended up borrowing my daughter’s Keds for the rest of the trip (we are the same size) - no issues from then on. 2.5 stars as they’re beautiful for what they are but not meant for walking 30k steps a day. I have a high arch and a narrow foot size 6.5 but these run small so I got a 7. I will likely use them again but not for the type of travel I bought them for.
