Good Helmet But Hard To Tell Until I Fall
Great helmet and like the vents (more vent options than other helmets I’ve had) but hard to tell how good it is from a safety perspective until I take a hard fall.

Very Comfortable
Perfect fit, very comfortable, warm, great ventilation and love the magnetic clasp. Several people have noted that it is a little heavier but I do not notice it being any heavier than my previous helmet also a Smith. My Oakley goggles fit perfectly with the helmet. Highly recommend this helmet.

Excellent Protection, Heavier Than Other Options
Recently purchased my second Smith helmet... upgrading from a Smith Level MIPS XL to a Smith Quantum MIPS XL. In XL size, there are limited color options (usually just black, white, or some grayscale). I purchased both on sale from the prior model year, so if both were equally discounted the Level was maybe sixty percent as expensive as the Quantum. So what do you get for the extra cash? Supposedly more protection, which is the reason I purchased the more expensive helmet. The Quantum feels more substantial, but also heavier. I do not think the Boa tightening device is superior to the Smith version on the cheaper helmets, but that is part of the reason this helmet costs more. I understand why reviews cite the Smith Vantage as the best overall helmet... it is in between cost/protection of the Level and Quantum, but much lighter. I only ski resort (no backcountry) and do not mind the extra weight in exchange for the additional protection. I also did not feel the Vantage was sufficiently different from the Level to justify the purchase of a second helmet. However, if I were purchasing a single helmet today, I would purchase the Smith Vantage MIPS. The Level has been fine over the past few seasons though, so whatever your budget permits...

Incredibly Comfy, Great Features
This is an incredibly comfortable helmet, I wore this with just an under armor style shell and was warm all day. The magnetic clasp is fantastic for gloved hands, the adjustment works really well. I got it in lava red and love the color. This also fits very well with my smith googles!

Great Fit & Protection!
Bought this as I wanted a little beefier dome protection after taking big hit mid-season with my last helmet and needed new one. Chose matte petrol and was happy to see what this color really looks like, a matted darker blue with a very faint iridescence that is really cool, but not flashy. Haven’t seen anyone around with this color helmet, as doesn’t have two tone color scheme many of the other quantum’s around. Helmet fits great, 58cm head, and large size has enough room for balaclava I use when colder. Very comfy without looking like bobblehead. ODT Chips audio fits great for sound on mountain and venting is solid. I use Smith I/OX goggs and perfect integration as one might expect...no gaps, no fog, no issues. Great helmet option for increased dome protection!
