I really love this vest. I was looking for something that isn't super thick/bulky but still warm and this vest is perfect. It's also really comfortable with the stretchy sides. I'm kind of in between a medium and large and ordered the medium. It fits great with lightweight layers underneath (if you want to layer with bulkier clothes underneath you may want to size up).

I bought this vest to primarily use as a mid-layer when walking my dog on colder mornings. It has a flattering fit and pairs easily with all of my jackets. When zipped up, it keeps wind from going down my collar and while the hood doesn’t have an adjustment, it fits close enough to provide protection from chilly breezes. Besides the roomy hand pockets and chest pocket, this vest also has long interior stash pockets that can be used for gloves or sunglasses. Great warmth to bulk ratio and has all the features I was looking for. Smartwool did not disappoint!

Really liked the color and the weight of the vest but the way it zips to one side,it did not fit the way it should,I had to return it.Sorry I really would have kept the vest but the zipper appeared off center.I called customer service and was told that was the way it was made.

Great Wool Vest

Great layer piece for cold days. Wool is the best warming layer and this is thin enough to fit under a down or synthetic coat. SmartWool is always great.
