Great as a base layer or by itself. Lightweight but warm. Just a hint of itchiness, but nothing beyond what I was expecting from a wool piece worn right next to the skin. Nice cut, with the seams giving it a slight curve--or at least the appearance of it--and isn't too boxy. Got it in a small and the fit is perfect (I'm 5'8", 137#).

Used For 40 Degree Weather Hiking In Utah
I bought this for hiking in general but right before a trip to Utah to visit Zion and Bryce Canyon in November. It was quite chill but this provides a really excellent base layer. I got a little sweaty at times but it was quick to dry and very breathable.
