The Smartwool tee shirts (short sleeve/ long sleeve) are the best. Ever since my 24 year old son told me the Smartwool merino shirts were his favorite, I’ve been buying them for him for special occasions. He’s always super appreciative because he knows I’ve given him something of great quality and even though the shirts cost more than the average shirt, the investment is worth it. I feel happy giving him something he truly wants.

Super comfortable first wear while on a 2 day backpacking trip. It made a great base layer and then when temps when up it was nice on its own. And a layer of sun protection with long sleeves! Odor control was evident, but control being the key word--definitely not absent. I recommend this shirt and look forward to using again on the next hike and for my trip to the Tetons next month (as well as trying as a base layer for snow skiing!).

Like most Smartwool products I have purchased, this one is a nice weight, completely soft and comfortable AND attractive. I get compliments on it all the time.

This shirt has a great cut and fit and is true to size. Too many merino wool shirts run a size smaller, but Smartwool seems to have figured out how to stick to industry standards with their wool sizing. My only complaint is that the merino blend is a bit scratchy. Nothing too bad, but compared to Unbound merino's softness (and super under-sizing, always order a size up with Unbound) it comes across as scratchy. If I could combine the fit and cut of Smartwool with Unbound's softness, I would have a five-star product!

Bought for a hiking baselayer. Expensive but I think its worth it. More comfy in the cold than a synthetic baselayer. Not a compression shirt. I use under a fleece. Doesn't smell after a full day of hiking.

This is my second purchase of a Smartwool Men's Classic All-Season Merino LS Base Layer - this is a great lighter weight item that breathes well but is warm enough when it gets cooler.

Fits well and well adapted design as a base layer. I have not worn it on hikes but I believe it will perform beyond my expectations in that setting

I own several Smartwool tops but this is one of my favorites. The slightly heavier material is ideal for stand alone yet still layers nicely. Never bulky. Quality is what you would expect from Smartwool. Excellent.
