Nice Sock But Wish It Had More Stretch

Comfortable socks that are a good weight for fall and winter. Breathable. Unfortunately they aren't quite as stretchy/elastic as I'd like. Uppers tend to sag and sock isn't great for hiking as it doesn't stay in place as tightly as i'd like. Seems well built and durable but time will tell.

Excellent Cushioning

Full cushion comfort all around. Purchased specifically to wear with composite toe Redwing Traction Tree Lite #2476. Excellent pairing for a facilities maintenance professional who spends half of each day / 5 days a week on his feet primarily working indoors. Might be a little much if I was still working outside in the summer heat.

Wrong Sizing

I love Smartwool socks, but I ordered large on my last order, and don't think I got large sizes. The socks were more medium than large. If they shrink at all, I won't be able to wear them. This happened once before on an order. Not good, with the prices involved.

This Is A Comfortable, Sturdy Pair Of Socks

These are great socks. I bought six pair in multiple colors. I just use the socks to keep my feet warm as I tracked across Belgium and the Netherlands. I would recommend these to anyone who is looking for a great pair of sturdy/comfortable/warm socks.

Will Now Buy These For Everyday

Wanted something 'special' for a walking trip in cold wet conditions. At first wearing it was obvious that these are the nicest ducks I've ever owned in my life. I'm getting rid of ALL my old cheap ones in favor of these to wear everyday.

Best Boot Sock

Use for work with lots of walking and standing. Realy like with boots and still comfortable and dry in hot weather.

Cutting Corners, Used To Be Great

I have had dozens of this pair of sock over the years, when it used to be the pHd line; it was my everything sock for all occasions from hiking, running, dress, etc. But that's all changed. My most recent purchase to replace ones that eventually wore out shows they've made changes decreasing the quality, decreasing the rise of the sock height by about an inch, etc.

Almost All Of My Socks Are Smartwool!

Almost all of my socks are Smartwool because of comfort and warmth. When I put these socks on, I love how they hug my feet. Best socks ever!
