Excellent Sock

Excellent sock. I like a little more thickness than normal socks and this does it. Holds up well hiking. Its now all I want to wear.

The Best Socks I’ve Ever Had

I recenly bought these for my brother, who loves them, but let me tell you why i gave these to him. In 2016 i took a trip overseas and researched some best practices for travel and touring and merino socks were recommended and SmartWool seemed to have the most highly rated socks. I bought 2 pairs in 2016. . i still have them and they are my favorite socks of all time because they wick moisture to kerp cool or stay warm and can be worn for several days between washing and never develop odor from feet or shoes. So i’ve requested new Smartwool socks for christmas and birthday and now i have enough to last all week without having to wear lesser socks. I know they are pricey but definitely worth it! I knew my brother would love such a gify so i got him some!

Very Nice Socks - I Would Buy Again.

I got extra cushion - omg I can barely get my feet in my shoes! - glad I didn't get maximum cushion. This is not the sock's fault but my own not fully understanding the cushioning levels. Next time I would order full cushion. They are very nice though. Warm. I can't wait to wear them more when winter returns outside or even just around the house. I love smartwool socks and will be ordering again. I use them for my daily walks.

Winter Warmth

No 'cons' here. They are comfortable socks, very warm and very attractive. It looks like they will last a long time. It was well worth upgrading my winter sock collection with these.

Great Socks For Work And Play

Great for hiking and for use with work boots. I have to wear steel-toes at work and these socks keep my feet warm, comfortable, and odor free. I have several pairs that have lasted over 5-years. Favorite Of All Thick Smartwool Socks

These are my favorite smartwool sock style, and favorite thick sock design out of the major companies. I only have older versions of this model to compare it to, and it seems that the older versions had a tighter weave. The new version also had several irregularities before even putting them in the wash (some of the weave had areas that had pulled up). So far they're very comfortable and warm; we'll see how they hold up. I liked these a lot more than the mountaineer version even though that one is thicker because the toe seam on that one did not align well, and the cuff is too tall and tight in one specific spot, versus these have a uniform elastic going up and down the cuff. If you are looking for a specific smartwool thick sock, this is the one I would opt for and between going large or small, I would order a size down if you're in-between. The other tigher-knit thinner versions of their socks are too small in small, but these ones run a little loose.

Comfortable but ugly. They are not versatile for different outfits. They could become relevant like sorel did with creating style. Please do that smartwool!!!

The Best Socks Out There.

I first bought Smart Wool hiking socks for a trip to hike the Inca Trail back in 2004 and they were awesome! Ever since then I have used them for the majority of trips I take (I travel a lot) as well as for work socks. Generally, if I am wearing socks, they are Smart Wool socks. I highly recommend them.
