What A Mistake
At the 11th hour, decided my G3 Guide Waders were too iffy for an 8 day packrafting trip to a remote BC steelhead river. Then I made the mistake of trusting Simms to make pair of waders that don't leak, without 1st testing them out. After our drop-off, I waded into a magnificent riffle and within 20 seconds, could feel water leaking onto my toes, through the tape over the neoprene booties of my left foot. Then quickly the right foot began to leak in the same spot. Later, on both feet, the tape running over the top of the booty began to leak. I had wet feet from the ankle down for 8 days with my brand new Simms packable waders. Great trip, but the waders are so stupid and disappointing. The magnetic suspenders definitely allowed a quick drop down to waist-high waders. Problem was, it happened unpredictably and constantly. Deep wading? Good luck. if you aren't managing those straps constantly. Horrible waders. Running back to more durable waders from another brand.

Very Comfortable And Lightweight. First
Very comfortable and lightweight. First pair of "high end" waders that I've owned and they are excellent.

Decent Wader, Gravel Guards Kinda Suck.
This is a decent wader for warm weather. Very lightweight and you don't overheat hiking to fishing spots. Great for rivers where wet wading is too cold, but a full weight wader is too hot. The ability to raise and lower the chest section is pretty nice. But the gravel guards do not have a hook to attach them to my boots and they keep riding up letting gravel in. Usually have to stop at least once a session to dump rocks out of my boots.

Packable Wader Well Designed
Light packable and very functional. Why would anyone want the traditional heavy wader for any situation.

I’m Dry!
Just got back from an Alaska trip. Luggage weight and real estate was precious, so I opted for these as my wader option. I used my existing Flats Sneakers as the boot. I did five hard days and stayed dry. They pack easy and tight. Next time I’ll use them for even the halibut boat trip to save even more luggage space. Hiking and scrambling on trails was easy.

Men’s Flyweight Packable Waders
Definitely lightweight & easily packable. I’m using them for rainy weather trips into Black Canyon of the Gunnison, I carry/hike all my personal gear into the canyon so lightweight is key

I Need A Small King Size In These
Sizing for me is tough in this line, as the small size is right almost everywhere but the booties are really small and the girth is snug. Mediums would swim on me, so I need a Small King. I know this is iteration 1 of this line, so it’s something to consider moving forward. I would add the gravel guard hook that everyone has already mentioned. The booties seams are also quite stiff, and since the bootie is small on me already, this may become a source of discomfort. Otherwise, nice portable and packable wader.

Lite Is Right
Very light weight and cut very generously. Clearly designed for backpacking or hiking into backcountry fishing. Do not expect the durability of the G3 or G4's.

Great Idea
It is a great concept, unfortunately the booties were too small for my son. We ordered a Medium King and we couldn’t replace the booties for a larger size and the large waders are too big

New Waders
They are good pack waders. I just had issue of the straps not staying at the set length
