Incredible Jacket

This is a perfect addition to my cold weather fishing gear! The handcuffs and bottom bib area are waterproof and feel super comfortable. It’s warm enough to protect from the cold wind on the morning boat ride but breathable enough to not get too hot. I love it!

I bought this hoody because I was going to Alaska in mid-September, the temp in the mornings was in the high teens, I dressed in layers, but because this hoody is so thin the layers were not detrimental to my fishing while keeping me warm

Upgrade!

I fish 2-3 times a week in my boat. I needed a light jacket for those spring mornings and evenings when it gets chilly. This jacket exceeded my expectations and is my go to for walleye fishing now. Couldn’t be happier! FISH ON!

Excellent Jacket Would Definitely Buy It Again!

Super light weight yet still amazingly durable. Packs down super small. Hood is perfectly fitted and a must for those windy days. That paired with a simms rain jacket is my new favorite fishing spring setup.

Perfect All Around Piece

One of my favorite Simms pieces to date! It’s a great layering piece under my shell on chilly mornings, and even looks great by itself as just a daily jacket. Runs true to size, and I really enjoy the polyester bottom as it provides a much better fit around the waist.

I wasn’t sure when I ordered, but really like it. I can layer under another puffy. Overall very useful.

Light, Compact And Very Effective Insulation - Blue Is Nearly Black

On a Sept 2020 flyfishing trip in Alaska, one of the guides and guests had this hoody and they loved it. I was looking for a more efficient insulator under my Simms Gortex jacket and specifically with a hood for those cold September morning boat rides. It was also important that it had a DWR finish and synthetic down to handle the rain if I had to take my Gortex jacket off for some reason. I also purchased the ExStream BiComp Jacket for wearing in the lodge and to carry as a packable emergency backup if I got trapped or injured while in the wilderness. We just had below zero weather in Colorado and this hoody plus the jacket are perfectly warm for long walks in that weather. While I have yet to wear this fishing, I am very pleased so far and I have great expectations for it out on the rivers. It is also worth noting that I wanted black rather than blue but the blue is so dark that it hardly clashes with my black jacket - it looks black except when directly comparing it under good light.. Regarding fit, I normally wear medium jacket but the small fits well and still has room for a poly SS T-shirt and two poly LS Zip Tees underneath.
