A Great Boot At A Great Price

Excellent boot, it is simple and elegant. Feels firm and comfortable. Lightweight when wet. When dry, it does not stiffen. Light, comfortable and solid. Adequate price.

Fantastic Boots, Amazing Value.

Fantastic support, I need to get to get the clear kit. Great traction with just the soles on most surfaces, but mossy rocks need a little extra. Replaced my old Simms boots, my first pair of wading boots ever, they were almost 20 years old. Stoked to have a brand new pair to wear until my 60s! I really do love the stiff ankle. Gives me a little extra when my legs are getting tired of fighting the current.

Nothing Better

Been wearing Simms boots for 16 years. Can’t beat the comfort and durability. Awesome when you need to hike trails as well to get to fishing holes, especially long hikes like the Russian River falls. Can’t beat them, definitely set the standard.

Runs Small, Heed Simms’ Sizing.

Beware - Sizing is smaller than other manufacturers. Support and last design are excellent for this price point. Materials and construction are average. Sole is good, fairly grippy, for this level of boat. It’s not on pare with felt but decent traction for rubber composition.

Great For Hikes, But Way Too Slippery In The Water

Fits great and very comfortable. Feels like a high quality hiking boot when out of the water. But the rubber sole has no traction at all on rocks under water. Wading a stream I never even stumbled in with felt soles suddenly felt like walking on ice. These boots are so slippery, its actually dangerous to wade with them.

So strong and much to adventure.

Ordered Regular Shoe Size, Good Fit With Waders On

Haven't used them for fishing yet but fit is good. I interpreted "true to size" to mean my regular shoe size. Sure enough, they fit with waders on. Like most, my waders have neoprene stockings. Still need to install studs.

The fit was perfect. I installed the metal cleats and traction was great. The quality for the price is amazing. I would recommend these boots.

Let’s Get Wet

These are great. Maybe not the lightest nicest ones, but I bought them a size up from my normal. They are intended for drift boat days. Can get out walk the river, but big enough for those extra socks.

Freestone Wading Boots

Great boots! Highly recommend them over expensive boots. They do last and eventually wear out , but are dependable.

Wide Feet

I have a wide foot EE-EEE. Called Simms and asked what wading boots were built on the widest last. The suggested 2, I bought the freestone. Their size chart was a great guide as well. I am just over a 9 shoe, the 10 fit perfectly. Just worn once so far but 3 mile hike down into the canyon and back. Comfortable right out of the box. Can’t speak to durability yet, but fit and construction seem really good.
