Not Great

This was a disappointment. Attached OK to the backpack, but really didn’t do much. Didn’t hold the net well at all. Was just a distraction and it is useless

I thought it would have a big loop to put on wading belt. It seems to be for a molle system.

Does Not Keep Net Upright.

Great idea on paper but not in the field. I have a fishpond nomad native and it would be in the drink had I not hooked it to the pack as a backup (which crushes usability/the whole point of the holster). Flopped from side to side constantly to the extent I thought more about my net when fishing than when it was hanging directly from my pack n banging against my legs.

Beyond Disappointed

I spent a lot of money on what I thought was finally my solution for packing all of my fishing essentials. After attaching this holster to my flyweight backpack the night before a trip, I quickly realized I wasted my money. No matter how or where I weave this thing in, the net just flops all over the place and/or falls out. Seriously bummed. My new fishing backpack doesn’t have a spot for a net (other than this “attachment”) so guess I just spent a bunch of money on a decent hiking backpack..

It would be better if the clips were larger I have a fish pond net and the clips always come off my wading belt and it roatates dumping my net out

Doesn't Work On Any Belt

Only works on a Simms pack or belt, I bought this for another name brand pack and modified it to fit, still doesn't work right. Not happy with that but the quality is good. It is a bit unclear that it only works with Simms honeycomb system.

Net Holster

Great product to have with the entire belt system. Light weight and comfortable and very easy to access the net. It can be attached to the belt or a pack.

Not Good!

Just to be fair I own A LOT of Simms equipment and it is all superior in every aspect. This net holster and the hex web system is terrible. I have tried attaching the holster with the straps in many angles and configurations and no matter what I do the straps are so long that the carbon fiber net that I use causes the holster to sag away from the belt instead of holding it tight to my body. I have attempted to use the little clips at the top but they won't stay attached. In my opinion this has been a total waste of money.

Another Winner For Simms

I purchased the Flyweight Net Holster separately along with the other components of my Flyweight belt set up including the Large pod, small pod, and large water bottle carrier. It didn't take long and I had everything set up the way I wanted it. I tried it on with net and full water bottle. I had an issue trying to pull out my Fishpond Emerger Net from the holster as I had placed it on the belt in the vertical position. Due the grippy finish of the net handle, it made it impossible to pull the net from it's position on the belt. I then removed the net holster from the belt and with the help of the Hex Grid system, changed the cant of the holster to approximately 22 degree angle to the left. I could access my net and replace it with no trouble at all. I broke in the belt system for four straight days on the Arkansas River between Buena Vista and Salida without a hitch. My net was easy to access when needed and out of the way and secure when not needed. The stiff molded holster is well built and durable and time will tell. There are other modular systems on the market that do about the same thing and all have their pluses and minuses. The Simms Flyweight system is well thought out, It is light and everything is easy to access. I would highly recommend this and other Simms Flyweight accessories to anyone looking to upgrade their fishing system.

Great Addition To My Flyweight Hip Hybrid Belt!!!

I bought it as an addition to my hip hybrid belt system, and now I'm complete! All my tools and now my net handy when I need it and out of the way when not. The flexibility of the Flyweight system allow me to place the net holder well located to move without restrictions...

Great addition to my flyweight hip pack system. This product makes keeping my bet readily ace I left and conveniently simply holds my net while I’m hiking in and while fishing. Simple, yet eloquent

Highly Customizable

The hex grid / molle weave takes some patience but I'm very happy with the end result. Highly customizable and it's all locked in tight; very minimal wiggling or movement.

Webbing Too Tight To Weave/attach To Hex Grid

The horizontal webbing attachment points are woven too tight to be able to attach to hex grid. Great design, terrible execution
