50 Years Fly Fishing!

I have owned many wading boots over 50 years of fly fishing. These are lightweight and comfortable. I haven’t had them long enough to comment on durability, but I have used the wet wading shoe that is constructed the same way and they have been extremely durable. Match these up with the new Simms Flyweight Packable Wader (like I did) and you will have a combination hard to beat!

Good ankle support. Good traction. Very little break in time. Excellent product.

Great Fit

Have not used them yet. Wanted a wading shoe for extended walks up in mountain streams.

Shoelace Loops Broke After 6 Months Of Daily Use.

Shoelace loops braking after 6 months of daily use. Back loop on heal also broke. Very slippery on rocks. Vibram failed at its task. Always rinsed with tap water, no hard chemicals. No use in salt water. Just freshwater streams.

My Go-to Lightweight Boot

Lightweight and form-fitting = great for hike-in wading and precision footwork. Wear mine wet wading in rock guard socks and in all conditions with guide wading pants. My second pair wont be my last 100%

Performance

More sand and mud gets in even with the simms wading socks than i thougt would.

Flyweight Wading Boot

These boots are great. Im getting older and I was looking for some lighter wading boots when my old ones wore out. The Simms Flyweight Wading Boots fit the bill!

Exchange?

I know they’re awesome boots even though I have yet to use them. I was really hoping you would still allow me to exchange them for the boa ones. I would pay the difference of course. The boots I have have never been worn outside and are in perfect condition.

Great Light Weight Boots

I’m liking these boots. They’re easy to put on, comfortable and way lighter walking through the woods. They drain well, when you’re out of the water heading back to the truck. The lacing system is easy to get just the right tension. I wear them with my custom orthotics and they are super comfortable. I’m glad I got them

Boots With Studs Provide Perfect

Boots with studs provide perfect wading boot performance

Great Boot, Moderate Durability.

The best boot for when you do a lot of hiking and need to be nimble. Unfortunately, the fabric lace eyelets rip out. Professionals will shred these in a year or two of service. I like them enough that I just plan on buying new ones every year or so.

Sturdy Boot With Great Traction

I spend more time on foot than in the boat so I was after a boot that would be durable and sturdy across land as much as in the water. The M's Flyweight are performing well in this regard. The sole is remarkably "sticky" so far and inspires a lot of confidence in stability. I can't imagine what they'd be like with cleats! They are a boot so they do have a bit of heft to them, but relative to other boots I have used these are pretty light.

Poor Durability

For 2 seasons I really loved these boots. Lightweight, great grip w/studs & great for hiking - most places I fish require a good 2 mi+ hike (~ 50 days/yr). But then they started falling apart, eyelets broke, soles are very worn down, had to glue the sole back on in spots, etc. The durability on these boots are not that great at all for the price.

Hike In, Hike Out!

My daily driver especially for longer hike in tailwater fishing. I've gotten a LOT of use out of my first pair and am getting ready to re-order. Would benefit from a slightly more durable lace and eyelet combination. That's what I wore out first. Good general grip. I wet wade in these w/ just rock guards and winter fish in them as well. Bought 1 size above my standard shoe size for use with Simms 4 mil neoprene guide pant.
