Nicely Done.

Perfect for hitting the river when you want to go light. Waterproof for phone etc. A hip pack designed by fisherman. If had a suggestion it would be to make the bottle pouch a bit larger in diameter. My Yeti 24oz Rambler is a bit tight. First world problems... :)

Fanny Pack

Nice product and well built. Hope Simms can make one a bit bigger in the future. This bag also seems to prevent falling in the river to fully test it waterproof integrity. But been through plenty rainstorms and wet days to test fully. Cheers.

Yes Really Waterproof

Waterproof, outstanding quality and functional design.

Great Pack For All Conditions. .

Just did my first flats trip with the pack, it held everything I needed for a grand slam and kept my phone and wallet dry in some rainy and windy conditions. Definitely a better pack than my last one, the dry zipper is genius!

Great pack! I’ve had mine for a few years now and it has always been nice to have. My only suggestion to buyers is to get the new model or buy a belt net holder.

I like the size it holds the boxes I need to carry, I have found I prefer the waist pack over my sling, I find it easier for access

Great Addition To My Fishing Gear

Just what I was looking for to carry gear while I walked the beach sight fishing!

Dry Creek Hip Pack

Nice hip pack, waterproof, big storage pocket for multiple fly boxes, gear, etc. very comfortable.

Very Functional

Great at being water proof. Room inside is plentiful. Would have enjoyed separators to help organize contents but it works well and easy to use!

Nice Fishing Tackle Bag

It's a nice tackle bag waterproof and everything like that comfortable to wear but the main zipper is a little hard to open

Unreliable Product.

unused during the pandemic. it fell apart when i used it again. worst warranty service lifetime. they never returned my product

Great Bag, Just A Couple Small Quirks

I was pretty impressed by the Dry Creek Hip Z pack. So far, the zipper seal seems like an improvement over previous models. The only downsides are 1. the hip and shoulder straps, while adjustable, are "one-size-fits-all", and so for people with average or slimmer than average build, there is a lot of extra strap material hanging off the buckles, and also hard to fine tune the shoulder strap. I would suggest Simms have a normal and extra-large model with different length straps. 2. A second internal pocket would be helpful for organizing gear. Otherwise I like it a lot and would recommend!

Using in the salt in Oahu. Packs what I need and keeps it dry! Bones beware.

Versitale

I had one of the original versions for my first two decades of salt flats fishing. It eventually wore out at the seams, but it fully earned the price. Perfect as a gear bag on a boat, and when the boat pulled over and it was time to wade, terrific as a waist or sling bag: I used it both ways, depending on the depth of the wading or the height of the waves. My bag was not totally waterproof, but was at least adequately so. No regrets, other than not buying another as the price rose.

Best Waterproof Hip Pack

For those anglers (like me) who regularly wade over their hip packs, the Dry Creek Z Hip pack is a must. The zipper is rather straightforward to operate, which increases the likelihood that it will be closed when I wade too deep!
