Comfortable Sturdy Hiking Shoe

I like these hiking boots pretty well. My only real complaint is that they are a bit wide, which makes them a little clunky. Still, they are warm and comfortable overall, not overly heavy, and they keep my feet dry.

Shoe Laces Are A Huge Disappointment

Shoe laces are too long and won’t stayed tied. Look at the photo of model wearing the boots, who needs laces this long? When double knotted the other shoe has gotten caught in the loop and threw me down to the ground. I have used with gaiters and ice cleats in the snow and still have thrown me to the ground. What drew me to these boots is that I like I higher cuff around the ankle however the buckle at the top of cuff sticks out to far and it’s nearly impossible to keep from rubbing against each other when walking. Normally I love the Salomon brand but there are serious design flaws with the laces and buckles. I would not recommend these boots for these issues alone.

Disappointing.

There are so many issues with these shoes. I bought them in July because I had several hikes planned for the rest of the year, and unfortunately they were a disappointment from the very first use. The laces are excessively long, the breathability is poor, and they are not truly waterproof. On top of that, the inside is extremely difficult to dry. I guess this is a reminder that it’s better to wait at least a few months, or year to see other hikers’ reviews before buying new models. I was hoping for modern technology and high quality for the many trekking trips and 4,000+ masl hikes I had planned, but a high price or a new version doesn’t always translate into real quality. A big mistake for any serious hiker.

Not The Best Purchase

Had and still have different shoes/boots from Salomon and always praised it for good quality and durability, however this time I am not happy with the purchase. Shoes do look nice and kind of stylish but it is not waterproof as advertised, shoe laces are very slippery therefore time to time you need to redo laces, but the worst part is that the left shoe inside already showing wear and tear which results in uncomfortable feeling, I thought that I got little stones stuck in it but after further investigation you can see that material is damaged already. Just to be clear I wear these shoes everyday for 2 hours in the morning when I walk my dogs in the forest, the terrain is quite good and so far not so muddy, shoes purchased in September so roughly 3 months. I still respect Salomon as a brand as all other products served really well, but this particular model let me down.

Noisy Boot.

This boot make noise with every step. Come on, you can't tell me the testers did not tell you this before you sold me a pair. Junk. Don't buy. i would rate zero if I could.
