Run A Little Too Big
This is my 3rd pair of Salomon hiking shoes. They are super comfy but they run big.

Super Comfortable And Supportive
I bought these in June2025. I broke my right ankle and even my air cast walking boot hurt. I put these on and they have a cushion tongue they are high for true ankle support and the insoles are great. The soles have great gripping for any terrain. Love these . I

Breaking In!!!
Had a pair that were over 20 years old! And unfortunately they were in storage and the first day I got them back out! Both soles were dry rotted and came off. I was with a group and were in razors looking at the mines and my sole fell off , so without missing a beat they duck taped me together. But sadly they didn’t make it, so I bought a new pair! Your newest version!
I bought my normal size , and I wear small sock with a wool one over that! I am SAR, ( search and rescue k9) so I need a really good boot that can handle the desert and mountains! With no break in needed!!!

Great Boot, Great Vomfort
I bought these for my wife, after explaining to her that Salomon’s is what I wore while in the military. She wore them to her job at a “range” that she is an instructor at , and she fell I. Love with the comfort and quality

Great! Waterproof (To A Point)! But Ouch
I love these boots in every way except how they hurt an inch to 2 inches above my ankle. I don't know what it is...tieing the boots looser helps but doesn't fix the issue. The boots left a red abrasion after a mile hike on very uneven ground (didn't bruise though). I will say, they are waterproof! I walked through low flow rivers (about an inch to 2 inches in depth) without an issue!
As far as slipping goes, I've only slipped on a wet log so far (I caught myself). I have gone free bouldering and hiked through mud/rivers. Great experiences! I felt like I had great footholds even with the smooth granite rock.
8/10 would recommend with 2 points taken away for the upper ankle pain.
I got an 8.5 and I'm normally an 8. My heels aren't slipping at all but I still have room for warm socks.

Amazing
Love the way these boots feel. Very supportive, grippy soles, generous toe box. I did need to break them in a bit, but it didn't take long. Colors match the photos and I found these to be true to size. 10/10

Not As Good As The Last Version I Had
I bought this same model about 9 years ago and they were the best boots I've ever had. I had to throw them away because they started smelling so bad from being wet all the time. This new version is harder to break it, and so far the crease across my toes is still quite sharp, and the top edge of the right boot is sharp and left an abrasion above my ankle after 1/2 a mile. I like how they are roomy enough for different sock thickness and the lug is awesome. If you buy these make sure you give yourself plenty of miles to break them in.

New Favorite Shoe
These are hands-down the comfiest shoe I own. They're lightweight, easy to put on/off, and didn't need any kind of breaking in. I will be in these every day this summer no doubt.

Supportive, Waterproof, 100% Comfortable
Superior support for foot and ankle, which helped overall when carrying a large pack for a few hours. The boot has enough cushioning inside to support the foot without adding any extra weight to the design on the boot, which is very light over all.

Not The Same Solomons
Have always bout Solomon’s. First backpacking trip wore new ones and was sold. My old ones (made in china) were great, but worn out. New ones (made in Vietnam) are too big. I have black toenails now. Also, rubber is coming off on side-these have been worn less than 15 times and have less than 50 miles on them. Shoelaces REALLY get stuck in the tabs

Gore-tex Poking
I bought these a few months ago and though they kept my feet warm and dry, the gore-tex on the top of the right foot poked into my foot so badly after a few wears that it left huge bruises. Cannot wear anymore.

Highly Recommended
Spent 5 days and 125km in these shoes in the snowy mountains. I did use preventative blister tape on my heels to begin with but it was not needed, walked 40km on our last day without tape and didn’t have a single issue, they were also perfect for my wider feet, giving me ample support around the heel and ankle, but plenty of space around the toes. They also kept my feet completely dry throughout, and I loved the inbuilt comfort insole, so pleased with these shoes!!
