Really happy with the fit, comfort and (general) quality of this shoe. The only issue I have is the lacing system. Within a week, the tabs at the top of the tongue that should hold the wound laces in place has expanded so much it no longer holds the laces in place..... annoying to have to continually rewind and try to secure the laces.

Good Looking Shoe. Not So Good Comfort.

I needed to replace another pair of summer shoes I ordered from here that were wearing out in the heel. I have worn Salomon shoes exclusively for ten years or so. I should have known what to expect. The last few years have given me decent looking shoes at much less quality and strength than the past. I prefer traditional laces, but I have a pair of Salomon’s that use the new style and they weren’t too bad…. But the lacing pattern on these digs into the top of my foot behind my big toe. Not a fan. Additionally, the balls of my feet ache after wearing them for longer than an hour. I have never experienced this with Salomon and it makes me wonder if they changed the profile of the insole or if it has to do with the materials. Either way, these shoes are a complete 180 from all of my previous pairs. The decline of Salomon is a shame. I would prefer to pay more and get the quality I enjoyed from 10 years ago, not this fashionable junk that costs less and performs like it.
