The shoe is great but their customer service will not help you and offers no support for their poor quality.

I Like The Show

I like the shoe, had some trouble with it wearing out quickly and thankfully Salomon covered with warranty.

Great Shoes But They Wear Quickly

I love these shoes. I've been getting them or a similar version for almost 10 years. The only problem with them is they constantly split open near the inside tow.

Go Back

These shoes by far were the best hiking shoes I’ve worn…..until they changed the design. This will be my last pair. Go back to the old design.

Awesome Shoes, Terribly Slow Shipping

Best fitting shoes I ever owned. They also last longer than most. But 2 weeks to ship is just crazy!

Toe Box Too Narrow

I love the light weight and ruggedness of the shoe, but the toe box is just too narrow making it unusable (and I have narrow feet).

Xa Pro 3d V8

This is I think my 10th pair of Salomon's, mostly this style. Salomon's are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. Styling is very cool, and I get many compliments from all sorts of people.

Great For Golf

This is my favorite golf shoe and it is good for hiking (XA Pro 3D). I have owned about 10 pairs of Solomon shoes because they match my foot shape, but half of them are this model because it does everything well for me

Excellent Adventure Shoe

These are my go-to shoes. I am on the 7th or 8th generation of these, have walked the Camino de Santiago with them, and many hundreds of miles on other trails. I just purchased two more pair for the Camino next season and will walk over 800 miles total. They are durable, sturdy in all terrain, and soft enough for long walks on hard surfaces. I use both Gore-Tex and non-Gore-Tex versions. To use Gore-Tex or not becomes a personal choice. One caveat...I do replace the factory insole with Sole inserts. I use the medium cushion, red ones. The combination of these inserts and the XA Pro shoes are perfect for my feet! I will continue to buy these shoes as long as they make them!

Favorite Shoes!

I have been wearing Solomon's since the Raid model came out more than 20 years ago. They have been my go to hiking, backpacking, outdoor, and casual, and even work shoes since then. I have worn multiple XA Pro models over the years, as well as a few other shoes in their line, and they are hands down the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I continue to buy them for their comfort, quality, and style. Salomon continues to produce great shoes and the XA Pro 3D v8 is a great version of the line's continuing evolution. I hike on dirt and rock trails in them on a weekly basis throughout the year in Southern California in both mountain and desert terrain.
