Reviews online had praised its plush cushioning, but I found the cushioning a bit too firm compared to the Speedgoat 4's that I'd been running in. Still, a much more relaxed, comfy Salomon shoe than any I've worn before.

I was a Salewa brand lover, until I took A chance on a pair of Speed Cross which I used as my primary golf shoes. I was so impressed with those I decided to try the UltraGlide, and i have been hooked since. I walk about 20-to-25 miles per week and these shoes are by far the most comfortable pair of walking shoes I have ever tried. Since then I have oredered four pair of UltraGlide , I also ordered a pair for my sister who is 80, and walks circles around me, and after she tried them, she ordered 2-more. Now my brother is also wearing them. Since my first pair of shoes I now have 6 to seven different sets of Solomon. Some not as good as others, but them Ultra Glide is in another league. I do everything with these shoes, I use them for walking, golfing, lifting weights and going to work, and my feet never felt so good. I only wish you guys would actually make a pair of golf shoes, because I golf 2 to 3 times a week, and between the all the different activities I wear them out quickly.

It's really disappointing how few wide shoes Salomon offers. I got these to try something different. They gave up pretty quickly. The soul and sides did not provide the same support as a speed cross. To be fair my feet are hard on shoes. But these are just lower quality.

The UltraGlide shoe is very comfortable and remarkably light for all the features. The quick lace system and shoelace garage work extremely well. The sole has excellent traction for the dry conditions I run in. This is my go to shoe on training day and race day.

I really like these shoes they are comfortable and race ready out of the box. Great grip and good fit. The only problem is the lace pocket is fully under the top row of laces. You have the choice to keep your lace as tight and not talk again or loose and talk again. But it's hard to do both. it makes you wonder how this ever made it past testing and quality control.

Super comfortable and quick shipment! I have ordered 4 pairs and wear them daily.

The shoes still look cool, but they just don't fit my foot shape well. I feel unsteady when walking in them.

What I like: The looks and color, QuickLace, good traction. What I don't like: Narrow toe box, not as cushy as Sense Ride and annoyingly difficult to 'park' the quicklace into the tounge.

Great feeling shoes. I especially enjoy the elastic anchoring the tongue in place. The adjustment tab on the lacing system is a little clumsy try to press up and pull down at the same time. Nerve damage in my hand makes it difficult to use the adjustment clip also as it would with arthritic fingers, I imagine.

I bought my Ultra Glides about a month ago and I am very satisfied. I was looking for a step up from a normal running shoe but I didn’t need a mountain shoe either. The Glide is giving me the additional support that I was looking for.

I haven't ran in the shoes yet, but the fit straight out of the box is super comfy.

Bought these over a month ago, to replace a pair of cheap Add**as. I get much better support and appreciate the sturdiness of the Salomon's.

I’ve had these a little over a month. They are lightweight and super comfortable. I got three more pairs.

Bought these to be my trail running shoes for 50K training. I was disappointed to discover the fit was too large. I only realized this when I ran in them. I normally wear Asics nimbus. If you are changing to Solomon from Asics, I’d suggest buying half a size smaller. As a casual shoe, they are very comfortable. I do not care for the lacing system, but thats just personal preference. They look neat.

The Ultra Glide (UG) really lives up to its name. This thing is a soft, easy shoe that can literally glide all day. Smooooove. However, I didn’t find it secure enough for more technical trails. The fit is more roomy than most Salomon shoes I’ve worn. It’s not sloppy, but definitely more room. I didn’t feel like I could bomb down technical trails in it w/o risking rolling my ankle. But wow, I would definitely use this on non-technical trails for 50 miles or more without hesitation. Good Contagrip outsole gave me enough traction on dry and wet rocks. I didn’t run thru a river in it, but there’s a lot of material in the upper so I’m guessing it would take a while to dry. Really solid shoe. Just imho, use it for its intended purpose.
