Hike en an average 14% dirt, gravel and rocks hill, and have no grip problems uphill and downhill. Very comfortable run on good cushion but you still feel the terrain. I will only wish for a little more toe box, perhaps 1/2 size up will be a better fit for me.

I used them almost everyday for jogging. I went to the mountains in Peru and was able to wear it and run in the Andes.

I’ve been using these as my sole running shoe on gravel. The traction is what I was looking for. I hadn’t run in shoes that has had this much cushioning in a long time and it has been a welcome experience.

I’ve been running in ultra glides for the last three or four years and couldn’t be happier. Good shoes, they fit my somewhat chunky feet, traction is very good on our greasy rocks. I’m getting at least 500 miles a pair in rough terrain

I pronate and wear orthotics. These shoes fit great, enough space for my insoles and space for my toes.

Super comfortable and can wear all day. Feels like you are walking on foam everywhere you go. I have bad knees and this makes walking and standing so much more tolerable. Expensive but worth every penny. Just buy them.

I bought the shoes 1 month ago. Currently traveling with lots of walking 20k steps most days. The shoes perform very good with excellent cushion on my feet. Performed well on a day hiking up steep mtn in the Alps reaching 8k in elevation. The sole is a bit soft when walking on rocks. The foot pad onnthe shie could be of better material to conform to the foot. I will buy an aftermarket foot bed and should resolve my sore feet feelings. Thus shoe offers excellent foot support, padding helps minimize knee pain, abd is excellent for light hiked

Great shoe for my long runs! I own multiple pairs always my go to shoe.
Daily Scheduled Suffering
As an ultrarunner pushing 70+ mile weeks and training for 12-hour and 100-mile events, comfort, durability, and fit aren’t luxuries—they’re requirements. The Salomon Ultra Glide 2 checks every box. From the first step, I noticed the smooth ride and dialed-in fit. These shoes handle pavement and trail equally well, and they’re light enough to move fast, yet cushioned enough to stack serious miles without beating your legs up. As someone who trains and competes while managing back issues, I can’t afford gear that works “sometimes.” The Ultra Glide 2s have become a core part of my Daily Scheduled Suffering routine—they show up every day, just like I do. Highly recommended if you’re serious about training, grinding, and earning every mile. —Charles Cottrell Ultrarunner | beacons.ai/dailyscheduledsuffering

Bought these recently and haven’t run with any thing else since then! Super comfy great for trail running!

I’ve got a 100 miles on these shoes. They are great for running from the house connecting road to gravel to trail. They honestly don’t do bad on technical trail. For mostly trail running I’m going with the Genesis. Comfortable snug fit shoe.

Bought these a few weeks ago for trail running and hiking. Shoes slipped out from under me coming down my daily the first time out. Not enough cushion or grip for Arizona daily desert adventures. Fit true to size and are comfortable. May be better suited for flat gravel and dirt tracks.

It is a solid intro to trail running shoe! Conforms easy to your feet and comfortable for long trail runs. I would love a little more cushion, but that’s okay.

This is my second pair of Ultra Glides and I love wearing them. This pair has a more attractive look. Love the draw string lacing!
