I wanted a shoe with a little more cushion than my Speedcross 6 shoe and the Genesis is perfect … but they do run a little longer/bigger than any other Salomon so I have now ordered a second pair in a half size smaller and I will use the bigger ones for everyday use.

My husband loves these shoes and is geting 2 more pair; one for the cabin, one for everyday, and one for dressier occasions!

I love the way they tighten up and how they feel on my feet. They provide great traction on any terrain.

I have ran Ultras with the Salomon Speedcross and loved them, but when I ran in this trail shoe the first time I new it was different. It is light and the turnover rate is just quick. Seems to have great grip and as you can tell, I love this trail running shoe.

I’ve been wearing Salomon’s since an accident that left my left arm paralyzed in 2007. The quick tie allowed me to get dressed. I loved the XA Pros for >10 years but moved to Speedcross recently. I tried the Genesis ~1.5 years ago and starting my second pair. They are so light. I just wore them for daily HIIT workouts and now have them for everyday. I immediately replaced them with these new ones and love the too. Highly recommend!

Fits like a glove. My developing ankle soreness I had developed with my old shoes is gone. Zero slippage in the heal area. I will buy again when these wear out.

This shoe really holds your foot well. The lateral support is great in the heel and mid-foot. I don't have especially wide feet, but the fit across the top of my foot right at the bottom of the laced section of the shoe was tight enough to be painful in the size suggested for my foot length. Order up a half size. Avoid if you have wider feet.
i have been extremely impressed with the genesis. lightweight, breathable, and comfortable right out of the box, with excellent grip and stability on technical trails. highly recommend for long mountain runs!

I always feel in control in these on the mountain. Never had a toenail blister. Anything under 40 miles on the mountain this can't be beat, maybe they wear out faster than they should but overall I can't speak more highly of them

From the very first day I bought them, I’ve found them to be excellent—comfortable; not quite as soft when walking, but very comfortable to wear.

The Genesis is a good shoe, but I've become spoiled with the S/Lab version. I thought I'd try these out, since they're cheaper, but found that I really liked the gravel guard around the ankle of the S/Lab version, so I've opted to pay the higher price.

Grip is so nice, not good for wide feet tough. Nice shoes for technical terrain !

I forget I am wearing them, so so so comfortable. Incredibly soft despite so many hours wearing.
Jorge
This is the most comfortable shoes that I have ever owned.

I work as an Uber driver, which involves long hours of driving and sometimes lifting items; these shoes provide excellent comfort and offer a good degree of toe protection.
