Great Beginner Board, High Quality Kayak Seat

I chose this paddle board after researching a variety of the budget-friendly boards. What drew me to this one was the higher quality kayak seat--most of the low cost boards have the same generic seat. I also appreciate that Retrospec has a warranty. The board comes with everything you need, however I highly recommend investing in an electric pump to inflate the board. I haven't tried the manual pump, but I expect it would take quite a while to use. I enjoy the hook system that is unique to this board to attach the seat. Everything fits well in the provided bag, though some additional padding on the bag would have been great! I've used this board twice; it's easy to set up. My only negative is the fins; I've been careful not to drag the board but the plastic slots for the fins are already scraped up, and I had trouble sliding in one fin. I'm primarily a kayaker, so there is a learning curve on tracking a paddleboard; it's not as stable as a kayak. Overall I would definitely recommend this as a beginner board!

Greatly Disappointed.

I opened this up on dry land as a practice run ahead of hitting the open water with friends. And I'm glad I did because land is the only place this board should be. When I went to inflate it with the hand pump provided the pressure gage provided on the pump did not work, it never moved. The manual says to not over inflate to not void your warranty, but I am unable to know if I overinflated due to faulty pressure reader provided. I used my best judgement on pressure. Next I tried to attach the seat to see how that all attached. The quick connect loop was glued together making the hook unable to be forced through the loop, thus the seat is not usable. Lastly, after i had tossed in the towel on this purchase being a bust and went to pack everything up in the ba provided, the strap came apart. This caused the 25 lbs bag to abruptly fall off my back and 1 shoulder as the strap and bracket could not hold the weight of the bag. I tried multiple times to get it to stick but the strap would slip out each time. There is also ANOTHER strap on the bag that is already ripping out as i was unpacking the bag. I'm disappointed in this paddleboard, and will be requesting a return due to the failed pressure reader that now put my safety at risk in the open water.
